Romeo Durscher is the Director of Public Safety Integration at DJI. Between 2015-2017 (Phase 1), DJI partnered with EENA to produce recommendations on using drones in emergency services through analysis of legal, operational, and privacy issues. Phase 1 lessons showed drones could be useful for more than just incidents and need additional sensors and ruggedness. Phase 2 plans clinical trials in search and rescue and fire to collect validated data on drone impact and better integrate drone data into incident response.
