The dress code policy convey
that the employee attire
should reflect the culture of
the organization and
professionalism
It provides a checklist of the
desirable employee attire
and the clothing which are
prohibited in the
organization

• Should follow the dress code
as per the days allotted by
the organization
Applicable to
all the
employees
• During client visits
• During meetings and
conferences

 Attire should be neat and clean
 Appropriate to the work environment
 Revealing clothes are not allowed
 Offensive clothes should be avoided
 Types of dress code:- Business dress code, business
causal dress code, smart casual dress code, casual dress
code.
 Dress code should be as per the organizational
allotment
The Definitions of Dress Code
Business Dress Code- formal shirt pant,
shoes and jacket
Business Casual- combination of business
attire and casual dress. Cotton pants and
relaxed shoes are allowed
Smart Casual- formal looking jeans along
with a button up shirt. Comfortable for
young employees
Casual Dress Code- Casual dress which is
not much relieving
General Guidelines of Attire
Policy
 Clothes should be-
-Suitable
-Wrinkle free
-Without any offensive tag lines
 Office wear should be chosen carefully
 Clothes and grooming to meet the set standards of the
organization
 Warning will be given on the violation of the dress
code.
Dress Code Violations and
Disciplinary Consequences
Employees can immediately correct the violation of dress code
by changing the clothes.
Warning will be issue by supervisor or HR department when
dress code policy will be violated.
Employee can be terminated when-
Repetitive violation of dress code policy is observed.
The dress code violation leads to irreversible damage to the
organization.

shorts, patch work on
jeans, dressy capris,
sweatpants, bermuda
shorts, Mini-skirts,
beach dresses, skirt
below knee level
• See-through shirts or
blouses, sports bras
Shoes
• Flashy athletic shoes,
boots
• Flip-flops, loose
footwear, open-toed
shoes
Grooming
• Inappropriate hair cut
• No clean shave or
proper appearance
