6. Title of Project : The Youth Centre and Principal Municipality Services Building of Livadia, Greece
Project Category: Mixed Use Public Building
Designed : 1993
My role on this project: Architect-Engineer (4rd Year Architectural Design project at the National Technical University of Athens) This is was my first large scale 3D model of a
complete building. Each floor was designed separately in 3D and then the building model was assembled by placing one floor above the other. The model was designed at a level
of detail that adequate to that of 1:50 scale. At the time (1993) very few people could design buildings in such a way in AutoCAD. The result can be only be compared today with
models produced using BIM. Still those models use mainly existing library objects while in my model all objects were created one by one based on the needs of the project.
7. Title of Project : Large Scale Exhibition Centre
Project Category: Large Scale Exhibition Building
Designed : 1993
My role on this project: Architect-Engineer (4rd Year Architectural Design project at the National Technical University of Athens) . This was the first steel framed building I ever
designed. As a student I was under the influence of High-tech architecture, also known as Late Modernism or Structural Expressionism and a great admirer of the work by Norman
Foster. My building mimicked and tried to reinterpret the structural principal found in his Renault Distribution Centre in Swindon, UK (1980-1982) on a triangular (isometric) grid. The
project was designed in AutoCAD 10. At the time I was the only student in my year using CAD and only one of two in the School of Architecture at NTUA. Back then in AutoCAD it
was only possible to design in wireframe and later hide lines to see the final result. To my great surprise it took a whole week to hide and plot the A1 drawings I had created on 286based PC.
8. Title of Project : Design Proposal for the New Entrance of the NTUA Museum of Technology
Project Category: Public Building - Museum
Designed : 1993
My role on this project: Architect-Engineer (4rd Year Architectural Design and Building Technology project at the National Technical University of Athens). As I mentioned earlier as a
student I was under the influence of High-tech architecture, also known as Late Modernism or Structural Expressionism. My designed proposal for the entrance mimicked the
structural approach found in aircraft design structures. My design was awarded the top mark that year. The physical model was kept end exhibited in the Building Technology
Department exhibition area for more than 10 years unfortunately I only have the picture of the 1:200 basic concept model. The project was designed in AutoCAD 10.

Project Category: Mixed use building (Residential & Office)
Designed : 1995
My role on this project: Architect-Engineer (4rd Year Architectural Design Elective module on Passive Design at the National Technical University of Athens)
The same work was also submitted to the Zephyr European Competition for innovative use of passive cooling principles in the design of mixed use buildings.
10. Title of Project : Proposal for the extensive renovation of “

Title of Project : Multi-Functional Space for the Salford Cathedral(Feasibility)
Project Category: Public Building
Designed : 2010
My role on this project: Design Architect (Self-employed). The Salford Cathedral, located on Chapel Street, Salford, is a Grade II listed Building and dates back to the 1840. The
Cathedral wanted to investigate the feasibility of re-seating its main entrance and at the same time address its need for a ‘
multi-function space’that could be used for a range of
activities including exhibition, seminars and meetings, It was thought that such a space could be ideally located immediately off the new entry space in the current garden area to
the west of the Cathedral, bounded by Chapel Street on the south and , Great George street on the west, and the Cathedral itself on the east. The drawings above present the
basic concept of the solution proposed.
