The document discusses how the author linked the double page spread (DPS) to the front cover and contents page in their constructed music magazine. 2. As you can see from each page in
the music magazine that I have
constructed, I added in the
masthead of “UP” to the contents
page and DPS as a mark of
originality from the brand. I chose
this idea because the magazines I
got my research from did similar
things for example with XXL they
always have their masthead in the
main story pages and contents
page. This is so the target audience
know that they are still in the same
magazine and are reading what is
going on in the music industry with
this brand being chosen.

3. Another way of how the DPS linked to
the front cover and contents page was
through the topics and names of artists
that were involved. As you can see on the
images the front cover included a variety
names of artists especially the main one,
followed on by this the contents page
included their names with the story of
what they discussed and had been
involved in and then leading towards the
DPS the main story of the artists article
with their name and quotes added on.

4. Following on from the names of
the artists, the images of the main
artists looked on all pages this was
because of the story that was
being headlined and who was
involved in it, which involved 2
artists for the story. As you can see
in the images, all of the pictures
have been edited out and cropped
using Photoshop so they look
similar to each other throughout
the edits. Also due to the genre of
the music magazine the type of
expression given by the artists
were serious and aggressive to
relate to the story.
