1. AAZADI KE RANG
As part of the Independence week celebrations Delhi Public School, B’lore – South
brought in patriotism in a unique way, by organizing a painting competition for LKG
parents & children, called “AAZADI KE RANG”.
Enjoying the spirit of freedom, every parent and child was seen adding colour on their
painting sheets, the theme being “My dream India”.
The Principal , Mrs. Manju Sharma endorsed the fact that while the emphasis is on
Global Citizenship , feelings of patriotism are to be instilled at a very tender age , so that
children remain grounded to their roots.
National Integration was seen all around, in the form of LKG children dressed in white ,
with Nehru caps singing “Hum honge kamyaab” in three languages , tri-coloured
decorations (done by children), parents and teachers dressed in colours of the Indian
National Flag , not to forget the patriotic songs in all regional languages that were being
played in the background.
Mrs. Anitha Bijesh , a parent added “The event was a witness to a confluence of
enthusiastic parents and children. It generated a lot of excitement and patriotism”.
In conclusion Mrs. S Nanditha Philip , the KG Coordinator , cited “Be it patriotism , self
development or thinking green – CATCH THEM YOUNG , is the motto at the
Kindergarten block of Delhi Public School – B’lore South”.
