Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Tout d’abord l’innovation a commencé en 2009 lorsque Bonitasoft a été créé.
en 2009, le projet Open Source Bonita voulait disrupter le marché qui était alors connu comme celui du “workflow BPM” afin de le rendre plus accessible.
Bonita était dès le début fourni en version Open Source afin de permettre à chacun de profiter des avantages du BPM. Le Bonita Studio permettait déjà à de créer des workflow complexes.
La version Entreprise était disponible selon un modèle par abonnement plus abordable. Les concurrents utilisaient un modèle par achat de licences figée très couteux.

Nous travaillons sur des innovations majeurs depuis quelques temps,
Par exemple notre module BICI d’analyse et de prédiction, qui utilise des techniques de Process Mining étendu pour permettre de proposer de l’analyse avancée sur l’execution des processus mais surtout de faire des prédiction sur les processus.
Il utilise les données d’execution historique des processus pour prédire leur durée d'exécution ou bientôt les chemins qui seront emprunté.
nous allons continuer à investir dans les capacité d’intelligence artificielle natives et en particulier dans le process mining, nous seulement pour permettre aux utilisateurs d’anticiper les problèmes mais aussi pour identifier des inefficacités dans le processus.
et pour celà nous mettrons toujours les collaborateurs au coeur des évolutions.

We’ve been working on major innovations for some time, for example our predictive analytics module BICI, that is using advanced Process Mining techniques to make predictions related to process execution time based on historical execution patterns. We are going to continue to invest in native AI capabilities and in Process Mining in particular to not only to help users to anticipate issues but also to discover process inefficiencies.

la modularization de la plateforme afin d’offrir aux développeurs la possibilité d’utiliser Bonita soit comme une plateforme soit comme une stack en “composant” les différentes briques technologiques.
Nous proposons depuis plusieurs année une image Docker de Bonita, et récemment nous avons ajouté le support de Kubernetes, nous allons appuyer le support de ces technologies pour garantir l’auto scaling de Bonita (nous l’utilisons dans Bonita Cloud)
Nouvelles capacité de développement Low Code autour de la gestion des données,
Amélioration de la collaboration pour faire en sorte que chaque profil puisse jouer un rôle dans le développement des applications
et enfin Bonita Cloud qui portera l’ensemble de ces évolutions pour permettre d’accélérer encore plus les projets d’innovation
