The headline is the text indicating the nature of the article below it.
interview
• This is an interview with the artist or person who is on the double
page spread. The text is always fitted around the main image, they
use limited fonts to make it look more professional and less messy
due it being a serious part of the magazine. They use a simple fonts
which allows it to be easy to read.
Main image
• This is the image which structures the double page spread, they use
lighting for image which is an important aspect which allows image to
have conations of the genre of the magazine.
Issue date
• This when the magazine came out
quotes
• These are what people have said during the interview
Colour scheme
• They always use basic colour schemes for the magazine usually for it
look less messy
Page number
• Tells what page that you are on during your time reading the
magazine
Column structure
• This is how the double page spread is laid out it’s always in two this is
because they follow convention.
Drop cap
• This is large font during the interview which is used in all double page
spreads for convention
Name of photographer
• This tells you who has taken the photo for the double page spread
Name of writer
• This tells you who has written the double page spread for the
magazine
Pull quote
• This is a quote that has been used during the interview this is usually
a peace on contents which is interesting to read they always make it
larger for the audience to read before reading into the interview
further the pull quote will always feature in the interview.
Stand fist
• an introductory paragraph in an article, printed in larger or bolder
type or in capitals, which summarizes the article.
Banner
• the title of a periodical, which appears on the cover of the magazine
and on the first page of the newsletter. It contains the name of the
publication and serial information, date, volume, number .
Question and answerer
• This is a basic Q&A which will be seen in double page spreads this is
used for the audience can have a part in the magazine allowing for
interaction.
