Analyzing Film Magazines Hana Ellis
Empire Taking the standard design of a magazine cover, the front page photograph takes up the whole of the page where the writing overlaps the picture. The bold title emphasizes the magazine itself, and the colour scheme compliments the image and makes it easy to read. The text and other image runs round the sides of the main image to not interrupt what the main feature is about. The image itself is bold and the character poses facing the camera, invited you to be a viewer. I think this is a powerful technique which I will use within my film magazine. The font stays basically the same throughout the cover except the obvious change of size which help depict from important titles to smaller text
