Ana Silva analyzes two magazine articles. The first article has a single medium-long shot photograph of the artist being interviewed and three blocks of text with few captions. While straightforward, Ana finds it dull without more images. The second article spreads text across two pages and edits photos to fit, with the masthead image reflecting the artist. Ana appreciates how the well-organized color scheme and spread-out text make it easier to read.
2. I find this particular example simple; as in straight to the point yet possibly boring and dull. This article only has one main image, which is
obvious and a good quality photograph. The image is in a Medium Long Shot of the artist the interview is based on. Also two colours
(maybe links with the whole theme of the magazine) but the fact that there’s 3 blocks of writing and not many pictures with captions etc.
may make the reader loose interest. I chose this one to talk about because this article is the way I want my one to be; in a interview
layout with an artist, although I will not be using this example as a guide.
Yet, I intend to have more pictures and also a different layout of the text; that actually is spread out between both pages.

3. I love how this Double Page Spread is put together, especially how the pictures are
edited in order to ‘fit in’ another very intriguing technique they use that I personally
thought was that the masthead is filled with the image, almost to represent
reflection of the artist. The colour scheme is also though well and organized. The text
is not all stuck together and easily spread out.
