Magazine Double Page Spread
           Plan
         By Nick Fitch
Stage 1
          1. I opened
             photoshop and
             made a solid
             black colour
             layer.

          I then added a
          photo of my
          subject, I’d decided
          upon having a
          photo covering
          most of the left
          page.
Stage 2
          2. I changed the
          photograph, added
          a secondary
          photo, typed up
          the text and a
          colour scheme
          became apparent. I
          warped the text
          around the photo
          fro emphasis.
Stage 3
          3. I added a quote on
top of the text to add
          interest and pull,

          I modified the text
          and adjusted the
          colours to my colour
          scheme.
Stage 4
          • 4. I added a quote
              onto the top of the
              photo page. I
              modified the text to
              stand out and
              lowered the bottom
              layer’s opacity to give
              an interesting effect.
Stage 5
          • 5. I added a
              miniature ‘album
              preview’ to the
              bottom of the
              text page, I also
              included a date
              of album release.
Stage 6
          • 6. I adjusted
              text, added an article
              title, adjusted colours
              e.t.c and changed the
              general layout.
Variants of Double
                     • These are some
                         of the variants
                         of double page
                         spreads I made.

                     • This was an
                         initial draft and
                         a few of the
                         ideas were
                         shown in my
                         finals.
Variant of double
                    • Another double
                        page spread I
                        produced, this
                        was without a
                        photograph, we
                        both agreed that
                        it didn’t fit the
                        targeted
                        audience.
