4. 1What is a
review
meeting?
A yearly progress
update
A 45-minute meeting where
the LPDC verifies (approves)
and adds up your CEUs
(hours spent on professional
development) since your last
meeting and to date.
5. 1When is a
review
meeting?
Reviews are done during
regular LPDC committee
meetings.
You sign up for a meeting
between September and April.
Usually meetings are on
Thursdays, 4:00-4:45
6. 1Do I need a
review
meeting
every year?
Yes, unless...
-You’re in Montessori
Training
- You finished all your CEUs
early
- Other special circumstances
7. 2How to
get ready?
Start early!
We must have your paperwork
2 weeks before your meeting.
Put all your prepared
documentation in the LPDC
basket by the requested date.
(You can put your whole Teacher Excellence
binder in the basket.)
8. 2How to
get ready? LPDC will give you a reminder.
The date is also found on the LPDC
intranet page.
https://sites.google.com/a/wsmctoledo.org/intranet/lpdc
9. 2How to
get ready?
What if you aren’t ready ?
Reschedule on a different meeting
date.
LPDC meetings can fill up early.
We have time for 4 reviews per
meeting.
Choose a month with an empty
slot.
Or, if you sign up for a month that
is full, you’ll be on standby in case
someone else cancels.
10. 2How to
get ready?
We review your paperwork
before the meeting
If everything is correct,
complete and clear, you
probably won’t need to attend
the meeting.
We will approve your CEUs
without you physically being
there.
11. 2How to
get ready?
We review your paperwork
before the meeting
If something is in question,
we will return your
paperwork to you, asking for
revision.
You bring the revised
paperwork to your review
meeting.
12. In years 1-4, a Review Meeting is
complete when …
•Your CEUs since your last review
meeting are added up and
validated.
You will also know your running CEU total
so you’ll know if you’re on track.
13. For non-licensed teachers in Year 5, a
Review Meeting is complete when…
•Your CEUs to date are added up and
validated.
•You have completed your required
CEUs for the 5-year plan.
•You have a new plan on file for the
next 5 years
14. If you are renewing your license,
your Review Meeting is complete when …
•18 CEUs have been validated
•You have a new plan on file for the
next 5-year period
•LPDC gives you a completed form
for license renewal
15. Next we will talk about
how to document your
activities.
The main way to be
ready for a review
meeting is to have your
activities documented
correctly.

For people who tell us they never can make a Thursday afternoon meeting, we are scheduling a morning meeting in January. The date has not yet been set.
Other situations are a few people on the oldest LPDC plan (grandfathered – just a few left) and people on sabbatical
The basket is located in the Toledo West Teacher Workroom, on a high shelf. If in Perrysburg, send it to us in the Toledo basket, marked LPDC
Show the regular Intranet page and where the LPDC link is.
Please do not e-mail us schedule changes, unless you are in Perrysburg. Use the sign up sheet that is in the basket. (or you can e-mail us after changing the physical sign up sheet.)Put in a picture of the sign up sheet

College courses give transcripts. Workshops, conferences and in-services give certificates. Now Accreditation teams also receive a certificate. But if you write a grant, observe a school, read a book, or do research or an educational project, nobody is going to give you a certificate.
Normally a professional committee or high level task force should provide minutes or an attendance summary.
An Educational Project is where you implement something new above and beyond routine classroom lesson creation. It might involve some research/reading, putting together a portfolio or lesson plans, collaboration with others, implementation and then reflection or sharing (presentation, etc.) Education Travel is not traveling to a conference. It is where travel itself is the educational purpose. (Like you travel to Chicago to experience, research and create lessons about the history of the city of Chicago.)
Don’t be stressed out by all the different forms. They are so teacher can do a variety of activities where certificates are not provided.
Just make it easy for us to 1-read the log sheet and 2-check off that you have documentation
