Docker lends itself to a git-style workflow, combining layers of containers in an easy-to-use format, centralized in a universal repository. But what about Docker deployments inside an isolated datacenter? This talk will cover options, pros and cons, and show you a sensible way to develop and distribute Docker containers.
Atmosphere packages and the chuck norris effectFabian Kromer
Urban dictionary describes it best as "Worshiping someone/something that was once great and worth worshiping, but has now lost its greatness.". In this talk we uncover the truth about the saga of the Meteor.js package manager Atmosphere.
Compose is a tool for defining and running multi-container Docker applications. With Compose, you use a YAML file to configure your application’s services. Then, with a single command, you create and start all the services from your configuration. This presentation is a quick introduction of this awesome tool.

Improving Chromium's code health: Onion Soup and beyond (BlinkOn 11)Igalia
By Antonio Gomes and Mario Sánchez Prada.
In this talk, we'll provide a high-level overview of the work we've been doing at Igalia this year aimed at improving the health of the Chromium codebase. It consists of a variety of tasks such as the collaboration with the Onion Soup project, the migration to the new Mojo APIs, the removal of wtf/time.h or helping with the migration to the Identity and the Network services, among others.

Container security is a vast ecosystem, there’s a lot of tools, project and methods.
In this talk, we’ll see how to use basic out of the box features and best practices to make your container more secure without adding too much complexity into your container platform.
This talk will be a mix of live demos and best practices.
We’ll close the talk by giving an overview of some more advanced security features available either out of the box or by using some third-party tools.

Docker is an open platform for developers and system administrators to build, ship and run distributed applications. Using Docker, companies in Jordan have been able to build powerful system architectures that allow speeding up delivery, easing deployment processes and at the same time cutting major hosting costs.
George Khoury shares his experience at Salalem in building flexible and cost effective architectures using Docker and other tools for infrastructure orchestration. The result allows them to easily and quickly move between different cloud providers.
This presentation gives a brief understanding of docker architecture, explains what docker is not, followed by a description of basic commands and explains CD/CI as an application of docker.
Boosting Sitecore Development With Sitecore DockerPeter Nazarov
Peter Nazarov presentation at Sitecore User Group Switzerland (SUGCH) on 2020-02-26. Provides guidance on how to start Sitecore Development in Containers.
Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications. Docker enables you to separate your applications from your infrastructure so you can deliver software quickly. This is a first introduction to Docker with relative basic commands.
DockerCon 2019 took place in San Francisco, from April 29th to May 2nd.
Open Source @ Dockercon Summit took place Thursday, May 2nd.
Dockercon 2019 was a success with 5000+ participants. We are planning a recap Meetup to highlight overall announcements, new features & news from the event:,
- new CLI plugins announcement (docker app, docker buildx, docker pipeline etc);
- features of Docker Enterprise 3.0 ( assemble, template etc)
- takeaways; useful links, demos, tips and tricks and of course all videos from all the sessions
- cool stuff from the Open summit, like the powerful buildkit
- Demo: Multi-arch Docker Builds
Under this Meetup, we'll discuss news / new feature announcements during Dockercon and their implications for the ecosystem and end user. In addition to the DockerCon recap, we'll have the usual opportunities for networking and Q&A. We will look to answer any questions you have about Dockercon at this meetup.
We invite all of our members to come -- whether you're a beginner or an experienced user of containers. Don't forget to RSVP for this event so we can make sure we have plenty of place for everyone. Save the date for Docker Timisoara Meetup on May 23th @ CoWork The Garden!
This session provides a quick introduction of Docker containers on Linux, and how to configure it on Ubuntu running on a POWER8 processor-based system. We discuss requisites, steps, repositories and use cases. We also make a comparison between Docker and AIX Workload Partitions. During the presentation we demonstrate how to deploy and use containers, and how to manager Docker containers on Power.
Generating a custom Ruby SDK for your web service or Rails API using Smithyg2nightmarescribd
Have you ever wanted a Ruby client API to communicate with your web service? Smithy is a protocol-agnostic language for defining services and SDKs. Smithy Ruby is an implementation of Smithy that generates a Ruby SDK using a Smithy model. In this talk, we will explore Smithy and Smithy Ruby to learn how to generate custom feature-rich SDKs that can communicate with any web service, such as a Rails JSON API.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.
