This document discusses building microservice architectures using Docker, Ansible, and Symfony micro-kernels. It presents potential microservices for a Drupal site including third party data synchronization, data analysis/reports, data scraping, and heavy calculations. It then outlines the benefits of moving from a monolithic to modular and microservices architecture in terms of scalability and environment issues. Finally, it provides an overview of using Docker, Ansible, and a Symfony micro-kernel to build a sample microservices application with services that can be deployed and scaled horizontally and vertically.
