1. 02.26.12 Do You Want to Wait
1 Peter 1:13-15
“Anytime you are about to do something, you think about it first and your mind dictates or
directs the action you move in. As Christians our minds should be on Jesus, but this would
probably explain the actions of these so- called-Christians. Their minds are simply on being
good rather than being on holiness.”
“Anybody can be taught how to be good, but only the Holy Spirit can teach you holiness.”
“You can teach your child good or bad and they will always keep it in their mind as they go on
in life and they will direct themselves back to what they have been taught. With the Holy Spirit,
not only do you keep what He’s taught you but the Holy Spirit is unlimited. It’s always
something new to be taught from the Holy Spirit.”
“If Jesus is holy, we should be holy. If you are still operating in evil desires and continuing to
live in ignorance, not only are you a disobedient child, but has Jesus Christ not been revealed
to you. To you...He is still dead.”
1 Peter 1:17
“If people call on the name of the Lord who is holy, why don’t they live holy?”
“Whenever you call someone it’s because you want to get their attention or you want them to
partake in a particular conversation. Sometimes you call someone and don’t want anything
and that person knows you don’t want anything. When you call on the name of the Lord and it
seems that He’s not answering, are you a stranger of the world, or have your decisions and the
way you are living allowed you to become a citizen of the world?”

2. 1 John 2:15-17
1 Peter 1:18-19
“A person of wealth can commit a crime and get a slap on the wrist. The average "Joe" could
commit a crime and get 57 year sentence. If the rich person pays off the crime, it’s a slight
possibility they might commit that crime again. The person who served that time in prison might
learn their lesson. What if Jesus said, "Let sin be no more", instead of serving a sentence for us,
knowing that down eternity’s line that we would sin? He chose to serve the sentence anyway.
Not only for us but for those ancestors’ sins that were too expensive for us to pay for.”
1 Peter 2:11-12
“Desire - to wish or long for, to crave or to want.”
“If you are living in sin, that means you are making your sinful thoughts and desires a reality.”
2 Corinthians 10:4-6
“When Jesus Christ is revealed that simply means that you have His residual on your mind.”
“The actions that you do are because you have Christ's actions and not your own actions when
you have His Holy Spirit as the residual on your mind.”
1 Peter 4:1-2
“Suffer- to endure pain, disability and even death, patiently and willingly.”
“Most of our problem is we think that living in sin is being in control.”
“If you don’t know God is there, you don’t have faith.”

3. Matthew 17:1-9
“Peter, James, and John's faith led them to follow Jesus. When they saw Jesus doing His thing
in Godly power, their faith became reality.”
“That’s the problem in today’s world. People say they love Jesus, but He hasn’t been revealed
to them.”
“Love is patient, do you want to wait? Can you wait for Jesus to be revealed to you before He
returns?”
