This document provides 10 rules for successfully preparing grant proposals. The rules advise applicants to make proposals logical, understandable, realistic, and easy to understand for evaluators. Applicants should address all requested items precisely and check proposals thoroughly for consistency and accuracy. Proposals should be neatly presented and focus on usefulness rather than unnecessary details. Applicants are reminded that evaluators are human and to avoid aggression or perfectionism in proposals. Collaboration between partners can strengthen applications.
