This clinical audit assessed the quality of care for diabetic patients at the North Al-Khuwair Health Center in Oman in 2017. The audit reviewed records for 100 randomly selected diabetic patients. Key findings included: 1) Only 12% of patients had a healthy BMI, while most were overweight or obese; 2) 67% of patients were hypertensive but only 40% had their blood pressure well controlled; 3) 48% of patients had good blood sugar control as measured by HbA1c levels but 10% had poor control.
