Ang armonya o harmony ay isang elemento ng musika
na tumutuon sa maayos at magandang pagsasama-
sama ng mga nota kapag ang mga ito ay tinutugtog o
inaawit. Kapag ang tatlo o higit pang nota o tono ay
sabay na tinutugtog o inaawit, tayo ay nakabubuo ng
akorde o chord. Ang pinakasimpleng akorde ay
tinatawag na triyada(triad). Ito ay binubuo ng ugat
(pinakamababang tunog) o root, ang pangatlo
(thirds), at ang panlima (fifths). Ang pangalan ng triyada
ay ang letter name ng ugat o ang unang nota nito.
Tingnan ang halimbawa ng triyada sa ibaba.

Paano malalaman ang pangalan ng triad?
May mga uri ng triyada sa musika na ginagamit bilang
pansaliw sa mga awitin. Ito ay ang triyada mayor at
triyada menor. Ang triyada mayor sa isang iskala ay
ang mga sumusunod: una (I), ikaapat (IV), at ikalima
(V). Kilala ang triyada mayor na ito bilang toniko o tonic
(I), subdominante o subdominant (IV), at dominante o
dominant (V). Sa isang iskala, ang lahat ng triyada na
hindi kasama sa bilang I, IV at V ay tinatawag na
triyada menor.

triyada mayor sa iskalang G mayor na
nasa ilustrasyon ng piyano. Isulat ang sagot sa patlang.
Learning Station 3: Kilalanin ang letter names ng mga
triyada mayor sa iskalang F mayor at
ang pangalan nito na makikita sa istap. Isulat ang
angkop na sagot sa
hanay sa ibaba.
Learning Station 4: Gamitin ang ilustrasyon sa ibaba
bilang kapalit sa piyano sa pagtugtog sa
mga triyada mayor bilang saliw sa simpleng awitin.
Learning Station 5: Gamitin ang ilustrasyon sa ibaba
gamit ang piano sa pagsaliw sa awiting Ivatan na ito.

Kapag ang tatlo o higit pang nota o tono ay sabay na tinutugtog o inaawit, tayo ay nakabubuo ng akorde o chord. Ang pinakasimpleng akorde ay tinatawag na triyada(triad). Ito ay binubuo ng ugat (pinakamababang tunog) o root, ang pangatlo (thirds), at ang panlima (fifths). Ang pangalan ng triyada ay ang letter name ng ugat o ang unang nota nito. Kilala ang triyada mayor na ito bilang toniko o tonic (I), subdominante o subdominant (IV), at dominante o dominant (V). Sa isang iskala, ang lahat ng triyada na hindi kasama sa bilang I, IV at V ay tinatawag na triyada menor. Tingnan ang ugat o root ng triad.
