This document provides instructions for schools to sign up and submit materials for Digital Learning Day 2015. It outlines important dates like the Hour of Code from December 8-14, 2014 and Digital Learning Day on March 13, 2015. Schools should submit up to 10 photos and 2 minutes of video footage by February 1, 2015 to the PA Digital Learning Day Schoology Group, following the specified naming conventions and content suggestions. Directions are provided for accessing the Schoology group and posting submissions.

Date to have all of your files submited - February 1, 2015
Naming convention for submitting footage and images
Should include IU number and SD name as name prefix, then basic file name -
• i.e. 01_ABCSD_video.mov and 01_ABCSD_project.jpg
Suggestions for what to submit
Kids actively engaged in activity•
Working with each other•
Computer and non-computer activities•
Pictures of conferencing with expert (if applicable)•
Kids explaining what they learned •
Student/Teacher interviews•
What students created (finished products)•
Limit to top ten images, video footage no longer than two minutes.

Please submit files to the PA Digital Learning Day Schoology Group
How do I access the PA Digital Learning Day Schoology Group?
Go to https://www.schoology.com or to your district’s Schoology login page. If you have a 1. Schoology account, skip down to step 7.
Click on Sign Up, select Instructor.2.
Enter your name, email address, and password you desire. 3.
Click on Register.4.
Answer the multiple questions regarding country, state, school, etc..5.
Update your profile as you wish.6.
Click on Groups and Join.7.
8. Enter our group code: GKMZJ-JNWDQ
Congratulations! You have joined our Schoology page!
In order to post your videos/pictures after you logged in to Schoology Group page, please do the following:
Click on the Resources link on the left hand side.1.
Locate your Intermediate Unit folder and open the folder.2.
Click on Add Resources: 3.
Click on Add Folder.4.
Click on Add File or Link. Attach files.5.
Please note: Limit videos to 2 mns or under and provide high quality photos with students actively engaged (not just students on laptops).
