Description: This exciting interactive training session will include basic instruction on ordering the STARLAB from
IU 13, set-up procedures, and curriculum instructions ranging from basic to more advanced lessons
including the Lewis and Clark, ocean currents, and plate tectonics curricula. STARLAB can be
handled by one person and set up right in the classroom, gym, cafeteria, or auditorium. It is an ideal
learning tool for teachers looking for ways to convey concepts for a wide variety of disciplines through
interactive, hands-on and minds-on lessons. The STARLAB can be reserved through MediaNet and
is included as a service through the IU 13 Instructional Media Services. All IU13 school
districts and IMS members subscribe to this service so there is no cost to use the STARLAB.
The new STARLAB will be featured in this training session.
Target Audience: Science/Technology Education Teachers/Administrators/Media Specialists – Grades k-12
Limit: Minimum: 3 Maximum: 25
Cost: No Cost for IU 13 IMS member districts/schools; $75 for non-members
