The African Sports Network Journal is a quarterly publication that provides the critical news and information that sports industry executives need to be successful in the fast-paced world of sports business and hospitality. Every issue features the latest and most important stories, in-depth reports on trends, original research, up-to-date industry statistics, key executive profiles. ASNJ also features regular columns on critical areas of sports business management including marketing, finance, and media, as well as facilities and events planning.
Subscribing to the African Sports Network Journal is the best thing you\'ll do today. Why? Because no other publication looks at African sports as seriously as we do and still has so much fun! Because sports are more than just competition: they are a connection to our culture, to our heritage, to our community to our parents, grandparents and children, and to ourselves as individuals. No other periodical explores these issues more thoroughly, from as many different angles, and remembers to bring home the positive news too.
• ASNJ is published in March, June, September, and December.
• All subscriptions begin with the next published issue.

It notes that Pakistan's education budget has increased in recent years and explains the importance of effective education budgeting. It also provides statistics showing there are more males than females in Pakistan's population. Finally, it outlines reasons for taking selfies and notes the trend is especially popular among teens and young adults who are heavy users of digital technology and social media.
This document discusses ethics in sports public relations. It provides examples of ethics issues faced by several sports organizations, including disputed contract details between Albert Pujols and his organization, Bobby Petrino being fired for an inappropriate relationship, Ozzie Guillen being suspended for comments praising Fidel Castro, and NFL players being suspended for bounties on opposing players. It also discusses the Cleveland Indians embracing new forms of social media and fan engagement to set a new standard in sports public relations.
The document discusses diversity in the UK and makes three key points:
1. The UK has a diverse population due to factors like invasion, empire, Commonwealth immigration, and being a safe haven for those fleeing danger over the past 2000 years. This diversity is seen in the mix of cultures, foods, music, fashion and more.
2. Much of the UK's diversity comes from its former British Empire, which brought people from colonies to Britain, and its openness to Commonwealth immigration after the empire dissolved.
3. Today's diverse population enriches UK culture and society. Ethnic minority groups have influenced music, fashion, cuisine and more. Respecting differences is important to celebrating the country's exciting mix

Graphic Content Warning: The Pros, Cons, and Alternatives to ScreenshotsSteve Stegelin
Visuals are powerful and can engage an audience in ways text alone can't. In software user assistance, screenshots have been an easy go-to for visuals. But with that power comes great responsibility. In the face of localization, accessibility, and continuous deployment, screenshots may carry underestimated overhead that outweighs their contribution to the conversation with the user. Instead, consider other visuals — illustrations, infographics, simplified UI abstract representations — that may better support your message, contribute more to the conversation, and avoid some of the extra overhead. Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

“In a recent article disentangling what researchers
have learned over the past 50 years, Margaret A.
Neale finds that diversity across dimensions, such
as functional expertise, education, or personality,
can increase performance by enhancing creativity
or group problem-solving. In contrast, more visible
diversity, such as race, gender, or age, can have
negative effects on a group—at least initially.”
