9. Indiana Texting and Driving Law
As of 2011, except in the case of an emergency,
text messaging of any type is illegal while driving in
Indiana. The state was the 32nd state to pass such a
law.
No other cell phone and driving legislation has
passed since 2011, despite bills introduced nearly
each year.

10. AAA: Prevent Distracted Driving
Do not attempt to read or send text messages or
emails while driving.
Remove anything you know will distract you from
driving before starting the car.
Stop if something inside the car distracts you.
Allow passengers to control anything (stereo, GPS)
that takes your attention from the road.
Turn off cell phones or place in a compartment.
Make sure children and pets are secure before
driving.
