This document outlines a study that uses Discursive Psychology to analyze student interactions on Web 2.0 platforms. Discursive Psychology examines how meaning is constructed through everyday conversations rather than focusing on internal cognitive processes. The study analyzed online discussion forum posts and found that most messages were exploratory or social rather than critical or logical. It proposes using Discursive Psychology to understand how personal and improvised online interactions can support learning by examining how meaning and knowledge are co-constructed through language in a Web 2.0 environment.
