then be derived.
6. GROUP ACTIVITY: (15 minutes)
Evolution of Language from the previous groupings. The
learners will be asked to:
1. Cite 5 Filipino words and determine their
corresponding translations into Hippie,
jejemon, gay lingo, and text language.
Ex. Nanay – Ermats (Hippie)
Nanayhhzz- (Jejemon)
Mudra- Gay lingo
Nnay – (text)
2. Use the 5 Filipino words into a sentence using the
Hippie, Jejemon, gay lingo, text language.
7. Linguistics
• the scientific study of language and
its structure, including of
morphology, syntax, phonetics and
semantics. Specific branches of
linguistics, dialectology,
psycholinguistics, computational
linguistics, historical-comparative
linguistics and applied linguistics
8. Three levels of language
1.Morphology
• study of words, how they are formed,
and their relationship to the other
words in the same language.
• It analyses the structure of words and
parts of the words such as stems, root
words, prefixes, and suffixes.

• the arrangements of words and
phrases to create well-formed
sentences in language.
• A set of rules of principles, and
processes that govern the
structure of the sentences in a
given language, usually including
the word order
10. 3. Phonology
• the branch of linguistics
that deals with systems
of sound( Including the
phonetics) within a
language or between
different languages.
