Order of ideas: Your story should flow in a way that makes sense. It will most likely be chronological or reverse-chronological, but you can incorporate flashbacks or repeat events from different points of view to mix things up. Story: Your story should include a beginning, rising action, a distinct climax, falling action and resolution (ending.) There should be a mix of descriptive narration and dialogue. There should be a buildup of suspense and intensity to suit the genre. Some Suggestions to Consider: *Internal Conflict: Your character may become their own worst enemy! The villain might lie within the character’s heart, soul, or mind! (Psychological fear is real in a scary story. It is worse to be living but lacking life than it is to be dead. Therefore, one who exist in vain is one who does not exist at all. Mankind often becomes inclined to follow a particular established order, regardless of how right or wrong it is. The progression of the established is strictly dependent on the vision of the establisher. The authors of Pride & Prejudice and Watership Down pinpointed a particular direction that was to be followed…or to be created. In both novels, an inordinate decision was presented to the main characters and influenced by outside forces. Austen and Adams highlighted the pro et contra of society by instituting a societal standard, presenting a decision, and unveiling the product of consequence.
Fore mostly, Austen and Adams incorporate the influence of the setting. The reader is shown a prosaic establishment by the authors. After examining the exposition of each book, the audience will notice how the established order will act as a catalyst to the events to come. For example, when Fiver states, “There isn’t any danger here, at this moment. But it’s coming-it’s coming. Oh Hazel, look! The field! It’s covered in blood!” (Adams 7). Specifically, in Watership Down, the phenomena to come were clearly foreshadowed in the beginning. Fiver was purposefully given a supernatural ability to anticipate the future. Adams used fivers character to present a particular retrospective to his audience-the blindness of hoi polloi. The events within the setting of the novel makes it clear that society is being criticized, and not praised. The initial conversation between Hazel and Fiver is a prime example of Adam’s distaste in society’s thoughtlessness. Hazel emphasized, “The whole warren? Don’t be silly. They won’t come. They’ll say you’re out of your wits” (Adams 7). Regarding this, Fiver immediately replied, “Then they’ll be here when the bad thing comes. You must listen to me, Hazel. Believe me, something very bad is close upon us and we ought to go away” (Adams 7). The setting is representative of how lethal it is to ignore the signs of the present, because the future is not so forgiving. Considering this, the purpose behind the setting’s constant fluctuation is justified. Jane Austen took a far different foreboding approach to the process, in which, the imperilment would strike. The setting of Pride & Prejudice is more imbibed within the actual character itself. Austen specifically uses setting as a means to uncloak what type of society the characters live in. Pride & Prejudice unhinges another type of blindness present in society-inferiority. On the subj.

Born in Syracuse, NY to parents, Robert and Shelly and raised with his brother, Luke and sister, Colleen, he graduated high school and college before working as a teacher for over 40 years at Marcellus High School. He married, Ellen and had 3 wonderful sons, Luke Jr., Garry and Neil, whom he loved dearly.
He was a wonderful and honorable man. I don't consider myself merely lucky to be his son, I've been downright blessed. He and my mother gave me the most profound gift that parents can give--the feeling deep down inside that I am loved and cherished. My father respected, admired, and trusted me. And I loved and respected him equally.
Of course, my father played a huge role in shaping who I am. I learned from the master how to think funny and make people laugh. He was my comedic sparring partner. His sense of humor never, ever failed him, even a couple of weeks ago when a hospice social worker came to the house. It is worse to be living but lacking life than it is to be dead. Therefore, one who exist in vain is one who does not exist at all. Mankind often becomes inclined to follow a particular established order, regardless of how right or wrong it is. The progression of the established is strictly dependent on the vision of the establisher. The authors of Pride & Prejudice and Watership Down pinpointed a particular direction that was to be followed…or to be created. In both novels, an inordinate decision was presented to the main characters and influenced by outside forces. Austen and Adams highlighted the pro et contra of society by instituting a societal standard, presenting a decision, and unveiling the product of consequence.
Fore mostly, Austen and Adams incorporate the influence of the setting. The reader is shown a prosaic establishment by the authors. After examining the exposition of each book, the audience will notice how the established order will act as a catalyst to the events to come. For example, when Fiver states, “There isn’t any danger here, at this moment. But it’s coming-it’s coming. Oh Hazel, look! The field! It’s covered in blood!” (Adams 7). Specifically, in Watership Down, the phenomena to come were clearly foreshadowed in the beginning. Fiver was purposefully given a supernatural ability to anticipate the future. Adams used fivers character to present a particular retrospective to his audience-the blindness of hoi polloi. The events within the setting of the novel makes it clear that society is being criticized, and not praised. The initial conversation between Hazel and Fiver is a prime example of Adam’s distaste in society’s thoughtlessness. Hazel emphasized, “The whole warren? Don’t be silly. They won’t come. They’ll say you’re out of your wits” (Adams 7). Regarding this, Fiver immediately replied, “Then they’ll be here when the bad thing comes. You must listen to me, Hazel. Believe me, something very bad is close upon us and we ought to go away” (Adams 7). The setting is representative of how lethal it is to ignore the signs of the present, because the future is not so forgiving. Considering this, the purpose behind the setting’s constant fluctuation is justified. Jane Austen took a far different foreboding approach to the process, in which, the imperilment would strike. The setting of Pride & Prejudice is more imbibed within the actual character itself. Austen specifically uses setting as a means to uncloak what type of society the characters live in. Pride & Prejudice unhinges another type of blindness present in society-inferiority. On the subj.

My father had a huge heart and a remarkable sense of humor. What more could any of us ask than to be loved and amused. My father did both with ease, he loved us and made us laugh. But, of course, there was so much more.
Born in Syracuse, NY to parents, Robert and Shelly and raised with his brother, Luke and sister, Colleen, he graduated high school and college before working as a teacher for over 40 years at Marcellus High School. He married, Ellen and had 3 wonderful sons, Luke Jr., Garry and Neil, whom he loved dearly.
He was a wonderful and honorable man. I don't consider myself merely lucky to be his son, I've been downright blessed. He and my mother gave me the most profound gift that parents can give--the feeling deep down inside that I am loved and cherished. My father respected, admired, and trusted me. And I loved and respected him equally.
Of course, my father played a huge role in shaping who I am. I learned from the master how to think funny and make people laugh. He was my comedic sparring partner. His sense of humor never, ever failed him, even a couple of weeks ago when a hospice social worker came to the house. When she drove up, my father and I launched into "Dear Kindly Social Worker..." from West Side Story.

Directions Write a scary story (between 1,000-2,000 words) that use.docx
- 1. Directions: Write a scary story (between 1,000-2,000 words) that uses elements of absence (the unknown, the unconscious, the unseen, paranormal, unexplained occurrences, and the unexpected) and elements of presence (helplessness, urgency, suspense, tension, intensity) as you tell a tale of fear, a malevolent force, or a supernatural being. Order of ideas: Your story should flow in a way that makes sense. It will most likely be chronological or reverse-chronological, but you can incorporate flashbacks or repeat events from different points of view to mix things up. Story: Your story should include a beginning, rising action, a distinct climax, falling action and resolution (ending.) There should be a mix of descriptive narration and dialogue. There should be a buildup of suspense and intensity to suit the genre. Some Suggestions to Consider: *Internal Conflict: Your character may become their own worst enemy! The villain might lie within the character’s heart, soul, or mind! (Psychological fear is real in a scary story.
- 2. Your villain might be a figment of the character’s over- active mind or fears) *Surprise Twists: Try to make the story unpredictable by adding elements of surprise. Leave the reader in suspense before showing the actual conflict, villain, or scary moment. *Details: Use the powers of description and imagery (sensory details) to enhance the creepy/uncomfortable mood. Don’t hold back! Let the reader experience the physical sensations that accompany the character’s fear along with the vivid awareness of the senses. *Techniques: Vary your writing style: Use action, conflict, internal dialogue, conversational dialogue, flashback, foreshadowing, back story…
