A national program, launched in 2015, in order to support the digital literacy in the Republic of Moldova. Under
the umbrella of Orange Digital School there are implemented several major projects, coming to insure in our
country the access to modern infrastructure, professional expertise and quality education in information
technologies.
The project came as an answer at one of the currents weakness of the educational system, even after the
implementation of SALT program is the fact that the teachers trained in IT abandon the system, not sufficient
allocations for IT equipment purchasing.

10. Objective - to implement the e-transformation concept in the universities from Moldova, to
facilitate the access of disadvantaged students to Internet and information as well as to
integrate the new technologies in the educational system.
Concept - digitalization by creating and maintaining dedicated digital spaces in universities,
arranged according to Orange brand and equipped with high performance digital equipment:
computers, TV screens, Orange Wi-Fi and broadband
Beneficiaries - about 50,000 students from 7 Higher Education Institutions, per year

11. Objective - to facilitate the educational process, contributing to the creation of the infrastructure
in the educational system of the country, to increase the quality of education and its relevance in
the society
Concept - facilitation of the educational process in the IT colleges of the country, by ensuring the
institutions with the necessary digital infrastructure, digital spaces equipped with computers, TV
screens and Orange broadband and Wi-Fi, in order to increase the quality of education and its
relevance in the society
Beneficiaries - about 1,800 students of the Excellence Center in IT, for the 1st edition of the
projects, 2015

12. Objective – to contribute to the creation of the digital infrastructure in the rural schools of the country, to help
in delivering a quality education for both pupils and teachers
Concept – equipping the rural schools, by donating them equipment packs, consisting from 1 projector, 1
laptop and 1 screen
Beneficiaries - about 10,500 pupils from 30 rural schools, during 2 years of implementation

13. Objective – to contribute to a quality education in IT field, to complete the professional staff in
rural areas and decrease the unemployment rate among youth who have developed IT skills, to
identify, stimulate and develop the talents in IT
Concept - the project is addressed to young teachers of informatics who want to continue their
career in a rural school: on a competitive basis, 25 teachers of informatics from rural benefit from
financial support and 1 laptop.
Beneficiaries : total applicants – 75; final beneficiaries – 25 teachers and about 3000 pupils .
