SHORT DESCRIPTION Teacher will explain food and pyramid food using the
presentation.
Students will identify different foods and mark them according
to its group and also, they will have to design a healthy menu
for a day so they can make a reflexion about their diets.
BREAD, CEREALS, RICE AND PASTA
• Main source of energy
• Number of serves depends
on our dayly activity and
age
• The recommended number
per day are 4
VEGETABLES AND FRUITS
• Provide us vitamins to stay healthy
• Prevent us against several diseases
(cancer, heart desease…)
• Recommended number of fruit pieces per
day: 2
• Recommended number of veggies per
day: 4 - 5
MEAT
POULTRY
FISH
EGGS
LEGUMES
NUTS
MILK
• Esential part of our daily diet
• Rich in proteins
• Muscles and organs are made of proteins
• Important to vary the types of protein food each day as they each
contain different nutrients
• Recommended serves of proteins per day: 2
FATS, OILS AND SWEETS
• Saturated fat =
Unhealthy fat
• Harmful for heart
health
• Cause of
cholesterol,
obesity, etc.
• Recommended serve

• High in energy
• Must be balanced
with activity (playing
sports, walking,etc.)
