Think about how you will
warm up and cool down the
interview / visit – rehearse
some key phases.
Online it can be more difficult
to read verbal and non-verbal
language, it can be clunky
and flow can be disrupted so
building a sense of
connectedness is important.
Think about what feature you
have available which will aid
rapport e.g. hands up, chat
box, annotate functions,
jamboards.
Write down the instructions
you will give on the use of the
platform to put people at
ease. Create a play book for
the session.
Eye contact, ‘look and listen’
is still important for building
rapport.
Attempt as sense of ‘normal’
have a cuppa together.
