The text that is used on the digipak
for the album “4” is simple like the
name which means that they match
well. On the front and the back
“Beyoncé” is written at the top this
helps to keep the house style and
the name of the album is in the
bottom corner which suggests that
it isn’t the main focus, this is
because the consumers are likely to
be attracted mainly to the artist and
her name not the album name.
All the digipak is easy to read and to
follow. The typography is kept
consistent throughout which means
it keeps a simple house style. The
font colour is black on a muted
white back ground which means it
stands out.
Mise-en-scene:
The mise-en-scene of Beyoncé is all
black and with the muted white
background it means she stands out a
lot.
Photos:
The way Beyoncé is stood in the photos
mainly appeals to the male gaze but also to
the female as they might want to look like
her. They all fit together as in each photo
she is only wearing black and all the
backgrounds are plain. The poses that she is
doing could be seen as quite sexual and
provocative.
The low angle on the front cover shows that
she has the power and is in control.
They have been edited in a way to give
them a yellow toned muted colour which
makes it recognisable to consumers as she
has done it before with her other normal
CD’s
