Differing Viewpoints
As mentioned, there are many different viewpoints on cosmetic surgery, for instance, double–
standards within media, and within ourselves. Since this is a controversial topic, there are extreme
opinions as well. Extreme viewpoints include siding with religion or siding with the total acceptance
of cosmetic surgery.
Viewpoint 1
Even though nowadays religion is becoming more private, it has had such a fundamental role in our
upbringing. It is believed that it still has a huge influence, especially when it comes to ethics and
morals. Supporters of the church would argue that cosmetic surgery is unethical and immoral
because "God makes people a certain way," so changing one's looks would be going against Him,
and your moral

Opposing Viewpoints
There is no doubt that people's viewpoints has played a pivotal role in all societies. The desire for
express the opinion lies deep within the human sprite. No one can deny direct and indirect influence
of viewpoint on relationships between people in whole society. However, this issue has recently
engendered many controversies among academicians. Some people may hold this viewpoint that if
we can't say anything nice about someone, then we should not say anything about this person.
However, others have an opposite perspective and believe that we should say both nice and bad
things about other people. Nevertheless, many remain neutral, sharing the view that a myriad of
factors should be taken into consideration so as to be able to prove which belief is closer to the
reality. I am of the opinion that the positive viewpoint about someone seems more valuable for
people than negative viewpoints about them; not only does it make to find and keep strong
relationships, but also it is more impressive. In the following paragraphs, I will try to pinpoint the
most important reasons.
The most significant reason coming to mind to substantiate my standpoint is concerned with this
issue that people maybe don't like that people talk behind them back. This means that it is an
unpleasant behavior that makes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But two things are noteworthy here. One is that the society faces an uncritical thought. Two, this
issue has a negative effects on other branches of society. In my own experience, I have a friend in
university that because of other people said inappropriate things about him, resist to change the bad
behavior. To illustrate, I would like to mention the available statistics about this issue. According to
the results of a study in my country, less than 15 present of people resist changing the bad behavior

Analysis of Muller's Viewpoint
Introduction Writing in Foreign Affairs, Jerry Z. Muller (2013) argues that "recent political
debate"¦.has been dominated by two issues: the rise of economic inequality and the scale of
government intervention to address it." He further expresses simplistic characterization of political
battle lines in an attempt to create a compelling narrative for his points. However, he mostly creates
a straw man that serves little purpose other than to act as a springboard for his points. The Points
Muller's central point is that the current system where Western nations seek to balance the two poles
of promoting capitalist growth and promoting equality is for all intents and purposes the best course.
He expends tremendous energy retracing the development of the modern economy, to come to a
conclusion that the current course we are actually taking is a good one. It is evident that his framing
of the issue as conflict between two diametrically–opposed worldviews was necessary, because for
his intentions of dissecting the way modern capitalism has shaped society his recommendations and
conclusion have little potency. The present course of action, after all, is the middle path that results
from different political viewpoints converging to develop policies. If there ever was a conflict of the
type he posits, the resolution is already in place, and all his essay did was confirm it. Analysis
Muller executes a comprehensive overview of the development of the modern capitalist system in

Differing Viewpoints The United States has been a powerful country for centuries, and an aspect of
life that has not changed through the years, are differing opinions on all issues. One thing that
Americans can agree on, is the need for volunteers to keep our country running. The flexibility in
the Volunteer Protection Act allows states to opt out of coverage only if that state should enact a
more explicit act citing the federal law. Before the federal act was signed into law in June of 1997,
many states already had tort laws in place, protecting volunteers in general from litigation. Utah was
a state that opted out of the act, and currently enforces their own volunteer protection. Along with
the Utah statute protecting volunteers, it also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A form of prevention, rather than protection, was already in place, classifying the state as providing
no immunity. Initiated by Oregon's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in
1982, the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) is a compliance program that promotes effective
safety and health management in workplaces. Similar to the federal Volunteer Protection Act,
Oregon's Volunteer Protection Program recognizes that enforcement of safety regulations and
structured approaches by these organizations will help achieve the goal of safer practices. Rather
than providing protection directly to volunteers and employees, the Volunteer Protection Program
promotes safety management programs which is considered to OSHA as the best form of protection.
The program has been described as a "roadmap," focusing on key areas necessary for a safety and
health program (Oregon OSHA, 2007). In 2007, Michael Wood, administrator of Oregon OSHA,
states that "The VPP demonstrates that organizations have become largely self–sufficient in
pursuing workplace health and safety" and that "The program provides employers with a blueprint
for success by working with Oregon OSHA." Oregon is an example of a state who is not protected
under the federal act, but has replacement programs to control the amount of litigation for

Bernie Sanders Viewpoints
After having two terms with President Obama, you would think that we would have more qualified
candidates this year. The most qualified candidate in my opinion is US Senator; Bernie Sanders. He
is not only qualified to be the president with years of experience in working in the government, but
he has some great view points. Viewpoints that benefit the people and not only the one percent.
"Today, we live in the richest country in the history of the world, but that means little because much
of the wealth is controlled by a tiny handful of individuals." Since the early 80's the middle class has
become poorer, and the one percent has gotten richer. There are many of Americans working long
gruesome hours for little pay. But if Bernie is elected

Date Rape Viewpoints
Changing views on Date Rape Everybody at some point in their lives partied a little to hard, whether
it was one night or multiple nights. Sometimes partying too hard has a consequence to it. One main
occurring problem has been Date Rape. The biggest problem with date rape is the mental aspect of
it. This is a huge problem because this causes the victims to have a long term effect. Many victims
are told it was their fault, and eventually they start to believe it. This causes the victims to shut
people out, become enclose in their private space, and sometimes suicidal thoughts may occur. It's
very important for our society to not continue to minimalize date rape. People tend to look the other
way, towards date rape. Usually people don't ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

think you can trust violate you in a way that nobody should be violated completely throws your
world out of whack". This is something that's can completely change your life, and not in a good
way. Not being able to trust another person, has to be very tough. Luckily Coleman has recovered
and starting sharing her story with other date rape victims and started a group therapy session with
other date rape victims. "It's the hardest job you will ever do to try and get through this but I did it

Differing Viewpoints Many people grow up not ever wanting to accept anything; they want to
always push for something better. All over the United States people believe you have cancer and are
going to possibly die that you should push against the odds and try to live. This is one reason that
the assisted suicide act is such a controversial thing. Many people believe that assisted suicide or
Death with Dignity is a good thing because it gives someone who is actually dealing with the pain
and suffering the choice. They have an option and can be heard that if they are in unbearable pain
and don't want to suffer they believe this law is perfect for that. People also believe that if you have
the right to do this, the people can pass in peace. They are trying to get away from people living in
terrible pain until they do die, they want you to be at peace and happy when you pass away. ... Show

family member wants this to happen and the patient can't fully comprehend what is happening, then
the family can push the patient to agree to the assisted suicide. There are many different viewpoints

Different Viewpoints
Everybody has a different perspective on different topics. Not all viewpoints are the same on certain
topics. The perspective others have can shape the way they are now. Different viewpoints show
others how you have grown and feel about certain topics. From the perspective of a girl who had a
step sister that chose to accept lies and friends over family. When my step sister finally moved out,
she decided to cause issues with the family so she could try to get her father back. In the process of
doing that, she made up an accusation about him to try to have the family tore apart so she could
have him back. Due to the accusation that she made it caused more issues for her and my family.

After his first counseling session, we got a phone call saying he was no longer allowed to live with
us, but he come visit as long as there was another adult with him. This only happened as a result of
the counselor being concerned for my well–being. So right now, my family is torn apart and
struggling more than before. I'm hoping that soon he will be able to come back home so we can be a
family again. In the future, when I turn eighteen, my stepfather will be able to live with his family
again unless something changes. If the counselor decides it is ok for him to come live with us before
I turn eighteen, then we can be a family again. This whole experience so far has shown me that lying
to get your way can cause more issues in the long run. If I lied to get my way, I know I would lose
my family because they wouldn't be able to trust me anymore. Lying shows that you are a selfish
and irresponsible person. This situation has shown me to be more responsible and care about other
people's feelings not just myself. I believe one day in the future if I have two daughters, I would
teach them not to lie about their own family to get their way. I would also try to make sure that they
don't have their friends help them along with the situation because they can lose friends and family.
Also, I would teach them to respect their parents because they will never know when they might

Analysis Of Annie Baker 's ' The Aliens '
Accompanying documentation
Annie Baker is a Pulitzer prize–winning playwright whose works present a charming, quiet affection
for human interactions with The Aliens being a great example of those qualities. It is a deceivingly
easy seeming thing to take ordinary conversations and elevate them to being theatrically relevant,
but Annie Baker manages to do just that in her writing. The big question is how to convey
meaningful subtext with the silence that is written and woven into her plays. The Aliens is a simple
play about two misfits who spend their time behind a coffee shop and the young Evan who joins
them. The play is about alienation and not fitting in with society, but also, on a deeper level, about
the gulfs of solitude that exists between all human beings. As a death happens between acts, it
comes to remind the audience our own human endings and suddenly the very small things, like
pauses, can take on a very strong, haunting meaning. As much as there is space between society and
these three characters, there 're gulfs of it between the characters themselves. Again, Baker uses
rhythm and pauses as a way to show how we process one another by using the things we don't say.
How we use silence to gauge others intentions. A part of this is to give off a minimalist and real way
of speaking. We often hold pauses when we talk to each other – we think, we hesitate and we are
afraid. Another way to look at this idea is to think of the characters as aliens because they use a

During my research into the viewpoints concerning the book of Revelation, I have come away with
the knowledge that while there are a variety of differing views with various degrees of merit
knowing which is correct is highly improbable. And that the pursuit of greater understanding
continues to strengthen my faith and walk as I strive to continue to grow not only from this course
but in life. It is through that desire that one can approach with an open mind and spirit the differing
views presented concerning Revelation. The four primary viewpoints currently presented are
Preterist, Historicist, Futurist, and Idealist/Spiritualist. According to Dr. Zukeran: Each view
attempts to interpret Revelation according to the laws of hermeneutics, the

which is a herbal plant. It's used for both medical and recreational purposes, although when used
medically it has a greater effect for the patient. Marijuana has been legalized in 28 states and
statistics collected during the period of the legalization supported that marijuana helped many
patients with serious diseases, such as aids, and cancer. Other then being used for diseases,

Political Viewpoints
The public's perspectives on political issues may change as various circumstances happen every day.
Nature around us influences the choices that we deliver and the perspectives that we as American
nationals hold. In order to obtain those views and concluded on decisions is based on the values that
we embrace. These values are originated from our upbringing, friends, family, and our life
experiences that we, as individuals, face. Our principles then determine what we deem important or
non–important and in a political sense can even tell us what party we identify ourselves. In taking
the Ideology Quiz, I found my results to fall smack dab in the liberal area. After taking time and
really relating my values tom my answers throughout the quiz, I do agree with this classification. I
believe the survey itself classified me as a Liberal due to the values I share with other Liberals. The
most significant one being equality. Believing in government action to achieve equal opportunity
and equality for all. This being one of my values followed by freedom, respect for the individual,
and loyalty. Even if I feel like my needs are being met, I want the same for others as well. Liberals

Writing from different viewpoints allows the author, Tim O'Brien, to express himself in a more
comfortable manner. Written in this viewpoint, the story is read as a tale instead of an autobiography
and the author becomes more distant with the story like he is looking into it rather than writing it.
O'Brien most likely wrote parts of the story in third person because it is traditional and benefits the
reader by allowing them to get to know multiple characters rather than just the narrator. "The Things

writing them in third person, the reader may feel more involved in the story. They can also learn

Two Viewpoints In Macbeth
Macbeth has been viewed in a variety of ways at the end of Act 2. One of the viewpoints, Macbeth
is easily manipulated by a wife he loves and acts to prove to her that he is a man, is the most valid
because if Macbeth never sent Lady Macbeth the letter informing her about his encounter with the
Witches, then the death of Duncan may never have occurred.
In Act 1 Scene 5, Macbeth sends Lady Macbeth a letter about his encounter with the witches who
hailed him as "Thane of Cawdor" and referred to him as the "king that shalt be." Lady Macbeth
knows that he is ambitious, but due to his nature, "It is too full o'th'milk of human kindness"
The first viewpoint is illustrated in Act 1 Scene 7, where Macbeth is thinking over about him
murdering Duncan.

Antigone Viewpoints
In Antigone one of The Three Theban Plays, Antigone creates a plan to bury her late brother. This
plan involves taking extreme risks in order to achieve this illegal act. Whether or not this act should
be allowed is widely debated between characters. The viewpoints on the matter from characters
Antigone, Ismene, Creon, and The Chorus provide detailed explanations on each of their opinions
about burial and loyalty.
Going against the written rules, Antigone (sister of Ismene) believes her late brother should receive
a proper burial. To Antigone there is no other option but burial, her passion on the subject is what
started the argument with her sister Ismene. Despite being her sister, Ismene is very different and
shares complete opposite views on the matter than Antigone. Ismene initially thought Antigone
would want to keep her plan to bury him private, Ismene did not fully understand how devoted
Antigone is to orchestrating this burial ceremony. Antigone's intentions became clear to the reader
and Ismene when she stated "Shout it from the rooftops. I'll hate you all the more for silence–––tell

Viewpoints On Ageism
In the past one hundred years, the human life expectancy has increased by thirty years. This trend
continues to rise (Hooyman & Kiyak, 2018). As a direct result, the amount of elderly people in our
society will also rise. At first glance, this may seem like a positive growth in our society. However,
when taking a second look, you come to realize that with such a positive trend comes a negative
trend: the growth of ageism. Ageism consists of the stereotypical and discriminatory viewpoints
placed upon an individual based solely on age (Hooyman & Kiyak, 2018). Stereotypes generalize
large groups of people primarily on the behaviors or appearances of just a small percentage of
people within that group (Cambridge, 2017). Discrimination is the act of treating someone unfairly
based upon certain personal attributes (Cambridge, 2017). Ageist viewpoints create a preconceived

traits of those that we see on the screen. Often, these traits cause a divide between the older and
younger generation because the stereotypes create such a dramatic contrast between the two age
groups. One of the most prevalent ageist viewpoints is the idea that millennials are technologically

there is always a moderate position that can satisfy both extreme ends. As our title states, we should

for I'm neither a conservative nor a liberal; I believe in pleasing both ends, which, despite the

the police force is a part of the government. Similar to how liberals don't trust anyone with a
weapon, seeing many homicide stories have made the headlines. As a moderate, I've done researches
on how other countries control their government and I found one weapon control from Japan to be
very suitable for our own use in the United States. The idea benefits both sides of the party; the
common individuals are allowed to have weapons for their own protection but only when they have
taken classes and pass a certain test of mental and physical health to prove their fitness. A
background check is also permitted to prevent any member of criminal or extremist groups to have
such weapons. Then a file is kept along with all gun owners in that area. Every few years, the
individual could take their weapon to the police for inspection and any broken parts. Every few
years, the individual would also retake the fitness tests to ensure they are still very able to keep the
firearm. This includes to all police members as well. That would be gun control, it's not taking away

Christopher's Ambiguous Viewpoints
the curious incident of the dog in the night–time by Mark Haddon is about a teenager's quest to
define every entity in life to a single answer. Christopher Boone's point of view removes ambiguous
viewpoints: He confines every situation to one answer, in a way, that extends his love for his maths.
If anything's ambiguous or not controlled to a single meaning, Christopher will not respect it or
acknowledge it. Christopher's need to define is a theme, throughout the book, becoming the
motivating force behind all his actions. His life starts to change when a thing, he defines, breaks its
boundaries: an experience his mind can't grasp. For example, Christopher uses the simile "My

sequence, Christopher immediately shifts from Mrs. Alexander's as an option to his mother to keep
his rules from breaking. Christopher goes a two whole train rides out of his way to avoid breaking
his rules. This passage also brings into focus how much he values dogs, "she wasn't a friend or a
member of my family even if she had a dog", and Christopher's willingness to see a dog as a
deciding factor into where he stays holds weight into the decision to forgive his father. After all,
Christopher's father didn't just kill dog, he killed Christopher's friend: an entity he now values above
his father because dogs don't lie. Christopher encounters irony again when his father tries to bribe
him for forgiveness with a dog, the very thing that he killed to lose Christopher's trust. He only

Quite often, people are eager to proclaim whether they are a democrat or a republican, yet many of
these people use these political terms because they have been told to, rather than actually resonating
with the beliefs of said political party. Preferably, voters should research issues most important to
them and figure out their own stances, then commit to the political party with the most similar
viewpoint by examining the party's platform from a reliable source. Political parties are voluntary,

call themselves pro–life will not support programs like welfare, food stamps, and housing

flaws the Republican idea of how to fix the national debt. The Republicans believe that trickle down

Liberals say that the Second Amendment does not give people the right to keep or bear arms but for
a militia or a national guard. Liberals think that people do not need a gun for protection it is the local
and federal governments job to protect the people through law enforcement agencies and the
military and that more gun control laws are needed to stop gun violence and this also would limit the
ability for criminals to get their hand on a gun and cause more trouble than they have already
caused. To sum it up liberals believe that the more guns there are the more violence there will be.
Conservatives believe the opposite of what liberals believe they believe that the Second Amendment
gives people the right to keep and bear arms. Conservatives believe that people have the right to
bear arms their thinking what if someone breaks into your home and the police or any law
enforcement agency cannot get there in time and the person that is being robbed has no way to
defend themselves. People say but you can have a bat or something to defend themselves against but
what if the robber has a gun. Conservatives are saying a bat or any other weapon like that is not
going to stand a chance against a gun. A gun on gun is the only way you can truly defend yourself is
what conservatives are saying. One of the bigger problems that is dividing the country is
immigration. When people come into the country these people are looking

Federalist Party Viewpoints
Throughout the duration of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, America's citizens became
separated in their political views. Citizens who preferred constraint upon the powers of the state
along with a strong central government represented the Federalist Party. Framing the basis of the
government and economy, Federalists enhanced the prevalence of foreign policies while shaping the
national judicial system. This essay will provide a comprehensive, detailed synopsis of the political
perspectives and viewpoints of the members of the Federalist Party. Using primary sources and
content analysis, this essay will discuss what the Federalist Party believed about the role of the
government and the reasoning behind why they adopted their views. The Federalist Party supporters

Furthermore, "the stability of the new national/federal government was dependent on creation of a
particular distance from the direct voice of the citizens" (McDonald 1905, p. 28). The moment they
became elected into office, legislators were to be free from any popular pressure. Members of the
Federalist Party also believed that the government was safest when controlled by peop¬¬le know as
independent, which typically implied individuals of wealth as well as social standing. In the 1780s,
members of the Federalist Party believed that state governments posed a threat to the republican
government, given that they were indebted to voters who made adjustments in officials and
demanded that the government serve local, narrow interests (History 2012, p. 3). The Federalists, in

debt, anticipated the expansion of the national government's power, with no regard to the

Domestic Violence Viewpoints
"Violent or aggressive behavior within the home, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse
or partner." Domestic violence happens everywhere and anywhere across the world. 691, 710
nonfatal violent crimes caused by and intimate partner in 2001 (Domestic Violence: Opposing
Viewpoints 18). It affects all of us in the worst way. There could be someone you know going
through this and you wouldn't even know about it. That's why people need to be more educated
about domestic violence. To know the signs and the red flags and help everyone around them,
because sometimes you don't notice people in difficult situations. Which leads to tragic outcomes.
The victims get their life destroyed by someone they know. Losing hope for the future. Therefore, ...

One strategy to fix this is to educate the public. Mostly the youth, because they are the future. By
educating the public people will be more aware of the signs. To know if someone's suffering from
domestic violence or to know how to get themselves out of it. Most schools provide health classes
that go over this topic for a few days, but I think they need more than just a few days to learn about
domestic violence. I strongly feel that they should educate not just in schools but in jobs. To get
across to the older generation too. Another strategy to help the victims is to provide more help.
Providing organization and classes to go to while or after they've been abused for support and
comfort. How this would work would be by getting the government to support this movement. Also
tell law enforcement to make tighter and stricter laws, because many abusers get restraining orders
put on them and they violate them. Not having to face tough consequences. With all these changes it
would not alter our system we have in place today. These changes will work in our current system.
This problem just needs to get more attention from the public. To do something before it happens
rather than after. By doing all these things it will help you, me, and everybody else in this world.
Not just a certain race, gender, or country, because we all tie together to make this all happen. We

Jacobins Viewpoints
There are very rare cases in with society can see eye–to–eye on every situation, thus arguments arise
and two to three viewpoints are created. France is no exception, in Brain Jenkins' schema Order
versus Movement, Reaction versus Progress, Catholicism versus Anti–clericalism, Right versus Left
he sheds light on how France may be homogeneous and fragmented. Two oppose groups are thus
created, the Girondins and the Jacobins. There are many differences between the Girondins and the
Jacobins as each group's viewpoint clash. Both of their conflicting viewpoints are striving for for the
same end goal: to secure and foster their nation. This notion has a correlation to present day United

The government should be second to the people, no matter what the orders were. The Jacobins get
their name from the Jacobin Monastery where they frequently met. They wanted a centralized
government and were comprised of cruel hearted people that were more often than not very poorly
educated and poor in wealth that wanted to get involved. While on the other hand the Girondins
were led by Jean–Marie Roland and his wife Marie Roland. The majority of the Girondins came
from an area called Gironde, and were much more wealthy and honest as compared to the Jacobins.
The district of Gironde was made up of people of high intellect. The Girondins urged citizens to stop
the violence while Jacobins encouraged the bloodshed. At the begging of the struggle there was a
wide gap between the Girondins and the Jacobins, as the Jacobins were seen as the minority. The
Girondins saw themselves as strong enough to dissolve the Jacobins and may have gotten a little
cocky as a result. The minister of War, Pache switched from the Girondins to the Jacobins in 1972,
and just a year later the king was executed. The Jacobins quickly gained the edge and became the
more powerful force. Now that they had a monopoly they seized and killed twenty–two Girondins.

Management Philosophy
An organization's management roles can be quite different and diverse, depending on the industry,
its culture and the ultimate goals of the organization. Managers on different levels of an organization
play several roles and exercise multiple skills as they effectively and efficiently, integrate the work
of people through planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Historically, there are three key
management viewpoints: classical, behavioral and quantitative. To be an exceptional manager, it is

Occasionally, I lose focus on certain projects that I feel are redundant or not interesting enough,
even though they are required by the company. Nonetheless, this may cause me to convey a sense of
lack of commitment to certain projects. As a result, I may indirectly affect my team's productivity
and possibly cause unfavorable results.
Opportunities
Completing my Bachelor's degree will strengthen my skillset and help me become a more valuable
employee. I am looking forward to the upcoming business courses so I can continue learning more
about different conceptual strategies and theories that I can apply to my workplace. My organization
is excited that I have decided to pursue my degree and is completely supportive.
I am responsible for managing a sales team in a diverse and high profile market that has already
opened the doors for more opportunity inside and outside the organization.
Ultimately, the completion of my degree and continuing to be successful at my current role will be
the best recipe for future opportunities
Threats
Increased competition in the market has pressured my sales team to change the way they perform in
their jobs. This has created new challenges in the way business is conducted directly with customers.

The Republican party has a firm belief that any unborn child, like any natural born individual, has
the right to life that should not be taken upon others to end. The Republicans believe that the

Republican party believes in giving women with pregnancies problems the support and resources
needed. However, the form of support can not be to infringe on the life of the unborn baby. The
Republican party does not promote the tax revenue for abortion;nevertheless, republicans support
tax incentives for those who choose to give the baby up for adoption instead of abortion. The
Republican party platform has four elements. These elements consist of the fetus is a person, the
endorsement of a human life, that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which
cannot be infringed upon, and call for a judge who respects human life. Even though republicans are
pro–life it does not mean they do not believe in women's rights, but they are however defending the
rights to the unborn child. Democrats however have a completely opposite view on the topic of
abortion. The Democratic party sternly believes in the rights of the women to decide what is to be

Caregiver Viewpoint
Caregivers View Point:
Being the caregiver to a terminally ill patient has to be one of the most extraordinarily jobs out
there, but one of the hardest jobs mentally as well. As a caregiver, you must help and watch a
patient's health decline ever so rapidly, and watch the families fall into tears. As a caregiver, you
have to prepare yourself for the worst, but the hardest part of the job is breaking the bad news. So
how does a caregiver go by and break the bad news to the families? In the beginning of breaking the
bad news the family and the patient must know what the true diagnosis may be, you can't keep the
family and patient in the dark about their illness, it would be considered poor prognosis. The
defining term of poor prognosis is, "Your doctor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to the families before taking the next step. This helps give the family time to take the information
home and to process what may be the next step in the family member who is terminally ill. When
you are breaking the bad news try to use an approach to see what the family member already may
know and what they would like to hear today. You may find yourself to be surprised when someone
knows what they diagnosis or information may be when you attempt to relay information on them.
If the patient and family have problems with accepting negative information of for whatever other
reasoning, you may ask them, "What would you like to know." And go from there. Just make sure as
the caregiver to be extremely open and honest towards whatever you are going to say. Don't say it
rudely, and in an uncaring vocal tone. Try to be sincere, and understanding,

A Christian World Viewpoint
Having never considered much about world views until after visiting a Christian world view camp, I
wanted to know more about mine. As a Christian, naturally I would have a Christian world view, but
I did not really know what that meant. I did not think much about the nature of God, or man, or even
the cause of evil and suffering. Although I did not doubt my Christianity, I only doubted my
knowledge of it, and ability to defend the Christian faith. I knew the root of all suffering came from
sin, and that since Adam and Eve sinned, all man is burdened with sin. However, people are able to
have a loving relationship with God if we trust in Jesus.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish,
but have everlasting life (John 3:16)."
"Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil;
and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever
(Genesis 3:22). Although Adam and Eve sinned, from that sin, they gained the knowledge of good
and evil. Like sinful nature, morals are also passed down through the generations. Having morals
cause people to determine what is right and wrong, and set laws to prevent people from committing
crimes. Obviously, murdering someone is wrong. Most everyone will agree with that statement,
because everyone has morals.
Evil and suffering are essentially caused by sin. When a person sins, they turn away from God and
His will, dwelling in evil. Had man never sinned, there would never have been any evil, and there
would never have been any suffering. Once Jesus comes again, all evil and suffering will be purged
from this world, and God will create a new heaven and earth. Christians suffer just like all other
people, except our suffering is necessary and something we can bear otherwise God would not have
allowed it. God does not cause suffering, He prevents it. If He does not prevent it, that means that
we are able to bear it, and it would make us stronger in our faith. "Therefore, in order to keep me

Drinking Biblical Viewpoint
Biblical Viewpoint of Drinking
There are many opinions on whether drinking is okay, but one thing that can prove whether it is or
not is looking at verses in the Bible. Although the Bible does not exactly say that one should not
drink and drive, it does say do not get drunk. If people listen to the principle of being wise and not
let driving skills get impaired because of it than drinking and driving would not be a problem. There
is nothing wrong with having a little to drink, but it is not wise to get drunk. An example in the
Bible is Ephesians 5:18. This states "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be
filled with the Spirit"(ESV). That shows that Jesus does not want us to be drunk, but live for God all
the time. Another verse is Proverbs 20:1, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is
led astray by it is not wise" (ESV). Both of these verses are saying that it is not good to become ...

Although the idea that the drinker needs help from a professional is necessary, that cannot be the
only consequence. That is very important, but it does not get the point across to some people
(debate.org). They need to go to jail for a while to process what they did wrong, and once they
realize how awful the punishment is, it will hopefully prevent it from happening again. If people
think that when they get caught all they have to do is go to DUI classes, then people would not care
and continue after the class (debate.org). Drinking and driving is very serious and should not be
taken lightly. It is a fact that people die from others awful decisions. It is proven that a driver can be
under the legal limit of 0.08 and still have effected driving skills. In fact, driving is actually affected
at .04 BAC level (George, 2013). That shows that the law is lenient on how much is allowed to
drink. Every person has different amounts of tolerance for

Different Viewpoints On The Autism
There are a few different viewpoints on the Autism CARES Act from the taxpayer's perspective.
These perspectives are largely based on that person's general beliefs about autism or how this policy
affects people with autism spectrum disorders and their families. To many it was clear that the
Combating Autism Act (CAA) had been largely unsuccessful and they were looking at how this
policy could be improved. General concerns regarding this policy are centered around how the
funding is being used and in what ways it is benefiting those with autism. Some believe that this
policy would be better if there were a few changes, while others have a negative view of the policy
as a whole; people also realize that the policy is not exactly perfect, but it is a start. With the new
changes in language for the Autism CARES Act, some are content with how these changes will
affect the autism community. The reauthorization of the CAA means that they are still seeking out
answers, providing families with educational support, and developing early protection procedures.
This policy is important to them, their friends or loved ones, and others with autism because "it
continues to shine a light on the need for more research and better education, along with the
monitoring of services and funding" (Tobik, 2014). As Amy Tobik goes on to say, "Families need to
know that they are supported by their community and by their government and that we are fighting

Knowledge is arguably the World's most valuable resource; without it the human race would be in

cities fueled by it and have fought wars over the right to stand in its light. With that in mind, the

An Assessment Of A Differing Viewpoint
An assessment of a differing viewpoint. On the other hand, some people believe that families should
make medical decisions for a patient. Family members can rationalize this behavior as protecting
their loved ones from a terminal diagnosis and the fear of death. Other perspectives of hiding
medical information can include the rational of not confusing a patient who is already ill, causing
more pain, leaving a patient without hope, or even the fear that the patient may consider suicide if
they know their life will end anyway (Bok, 1987, p 185).

Paternalistic secrecy is defined as adult children purposely misleading the parent by keeping

Bok also believes that there is the notion that patient's do not want bad news and they prefer not to
have to face serious illness or death. In doing this, doctors and families are lying or concealing the
truth as not to confuse a sick person or leave them without hope, therefore improving the changes of
recovery (Bok, 1987, 185).
Analysis
Allen believes that paternalistic secrecy was a major feature in health care, but the ideas of patient
autonomy and informed consent do not happen. Health care is changing from the doctor is always
right, to asking questions about care and making decisions with the health care team. He does
maintain that in some cultures, this is tolerable, and wanted by patients, as it is what they know and
seek conform in this method. The family can take care of them as the patient is ill and will prepare
for the end of life care. Allen does go on to state that if deception is wrong, then lying about medical
treatment and prognosis is unethical (Allen, 2015). Bok argues that being lied to will result in angry
and disappointed patients, although they usually do not want the bad news, and the majority of
patients do not want to face serious illness or death. If a patient knows the medical team is lying to
them, they will lose trust in the process and the medical team. While it is true that people do not
want to face their death, they would rather plan to prepare their loved ones for this, instead of not
understanding what is going on with

has a major problem with illegal immigration. The reason the U.S. has a problem with illegal
immigration is because we have an administration and political party that allows it. The liberal
argument is that illegal immigrants contribute so much to our economy. But the truth is illegal
immigrants take more than they contribute. According to a study conducted by Federation for
American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in 2013, illegal immigrants cost U.S. tax payers $113 billion
while only contributing $1.27 billion. The majority of the $1.27 billion was in sales taxes from
purchasing consumer products. $84 billion of the $112 was from state and local tax dollars. The
study used examples of how different states are operating at a fiscal deficit compared to how much
illegal immigrants were costing the state. One example is California. "California, facing a budget
deficit of $14.4 billion in 2010–2011, is hit with an estimated $21.8 billion in annual expenditures
on illegal aliens." On top of the tax and other financial burden, illegal immigrants are taking away
blue collar and unskilled jobs from Americans, leaving many American workers unemployed.
Donald Trump plans to stop illegal immigration by deporting illegal aliens and building a wall on

While I do agree that patients trusting the Internet more than their doctors is a very real and
troubling problem, the article "Why you trust the internet more than your doctor" raises a few
questions for me. First, the credibility of the author is concerning, as his only identifier is the Twitter
handle "DocBastard." Upon investigating further, DocBastard maintains a blog titled "Stories from

or medical school, or any education for that matter. Plus, considering that the description of his blog
is "stories about general surgery, trauma surgery, dumb patients, dumb doctors, and dumb shit from
the dumb world around us," I am not sure how much I can trust this writer. I think DocBastard's
intended audience was the general public, with the assumption that most people have little scientific
knowledge or a scientific mindset. His article was a call to action to this audience, a plea to rely on
experts who spent years in medical school instead of a quick Internet search. However, I do not
think the author's intended audience would be swayed to change their ways after reading this article.
The writing style of this article was highly redundant, as he kept repeating the phrase "I get it"
exasperatedly. While a person with a scientific mindset would find this article reasonable and even
humorous at points, the general public would be put off by the article's highly cynical tone. All the
points the author makes are not convincing enough; his piece reads more like a rant than a

Differing Viewpoints

  • 1. Differing Viewpoints Differing Viewpoints As mentioned, there are many different viewpoints on cosmetic surgery, for instance, double– standards within media, and within ourselves. Since this is a controversial topic, there are extreme opinions as well. Extreme viewpoints include siding with religion or siding with the total acceptance of cosmetic surgery. Viewpoint 1 Even though nowadays religion is becoming more private, it has had such a fundamental role in our upbringing. It is believed that it still has a huge influence, especially when it comes to ethics and morals. Supporters of the church would argue that cosmetic surgery is unethical and immoral because "God makes people a certain way," so changing one's looks would be going against Him, and your moral ... • 3. Opposing Viewpoints There is no doubt that people's viewpoints has played a pivotal role in all societies. The desire for express the opinion lies deep within the human sprite. No one can deny direct and indirect influence of viewpoint on relationships between people in whole society. However, this issue has recently engendered many controversies among academicians. Some people may hold this viewpoint that if we can't say anything nice about someone, then we should not say anything about this person. However, others have an opposite perspective and believe that we should say both nice and bad things about other people. Nevertheless, many remain neutral, sharing the view that a myriad of factors should be taken into consideration so as to be able to prove which belief is closer to the reality. I am of the opinion that the positive viewpoint about someone seems more valuable for people than negative viewpoints about them; not only does it make to find and keep strong relationships, but also it is more impressive. In the following paragraphs, I will try to pinpoint the most important reasons. The most significant reason coming to mind to substantiate my standpoint is concerned with this issue that people maybe don't like that people talk behind them back. This means that it is an unpleasant behavior that makes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But two things are noteworthy here. One is that the society faces an uncritical thought. Two, this issue has a negative effects on other branches of society. In my own experience, I have a friend in university that because of other people said inappropriate things about him, resist to change the bad behavior. To illustrate, I would like to mention the available statistics about this issue. According to the results of a study in my country, less than 15 present of people resist changing the bad behavior due to others said anything bad about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Analysis of Muller's Viewpoint Introduction Writing in Foreign Affairs, Jerry Z. Muller (2013) argues that "recent political debate"¦.has been dominated by two issues: the rise of economic inequality and the scale of government intervention to address it." He further expresses simplistic characterization of political battle lines in an attempt to create a compelling narrative for his points. However, he mostly creates a straw man that serves little purpose other than to act as a springboard for his points. The Points Muller's central point is that the current system where Western nations seek to balance the two poles of promoting capitalist growth and promoting equality is for all intents and purposes the best course. He expends tremendous energy retracing the development of the modern economy, to come to a conclusion that the current course we are actually taking is a good one. It is evident that his framing of the issue as conflict between two diametrically–opposed worldviews was necessary, because for his intentions of dissecting the way modern capitalism has shaped society his recommendations and conclusion have little potency. The present course of action, after all, is the middle path that results from different political viewpoints converging to develop policies. If there ever was a conflict of the type he posits, the resolution is already in place, and all his essay did was confirm it. Analysis Muller executes a comprehensive overview of the development of the modern capitalist system in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Examples Of Differing Viewpoints Differing Viewpoints The United States has been a powerful country for centuries, and an aspect of life that has not changed through the years, are differing opinions on all issues. One thing that Americans can agree on, is the need for volunteers to keep our country running. The flexibility in the Volunteer Protection Act allows states to opt out of coverage only if that state should enact a more explicit act citing the federal law. Before the federal act was signed into law in June of 1997, many states already had tort laws in place, protecting volunteers in general from litigation. Utah was a state that opted out of the act, and currently enforces their own volunteer protection. Along with the Utah statute protecting volunteers, it also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A form of prevention, rather than protection, was already in place, classifying the state as providing no immunity. Initiated by Oregon's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 1982, the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) is a compliance program that promotes effective safety and health management in workplaces. Similar to the federal Volunteer Protection Act, Oregon's Volunteer Protection Program recognizes that enforcement of safety regulations and structured approaches by these organizations will help achieve the goal of safer practices. Rather than providing protection directly to volunteers and employees, the Volunteer Protection Program promotes safety management programs which is considered to OSHA as the best form of protection. The program has been described as a "roadmap," focusing on key areas necessary for a safety and health program (Oregon OSHA, 2007). In 2007, Michael Wood, administrator of Oregon OSHA, states that "The VPP demonstrates that organizations have become largely self–sufficient in pursuing workplace health and safety" and that "The program provides employers with a blueprint for success by working with Oregon OSHA." • 9. Bernie Sanders Viewpoints After having two terms with President Obama, you would think that we would have more qualified candidates this year. The most qualified candidate in my opinion is US Senator; Bernie Sanders. He is not only qualified to be the president with years of experience in working in the government, but he has some great view points. Viewpoints that benefit the people and not only the one percent. "Today, we live in the richest country in the history of the world, but that means little because much of the wealth is controlled by a tiny handful of individuals." Since the early 80's the middle class has become poorer, and the one percent has gotten richer. There are many of Americans working long gruesome hours for little pay. But if Bernie is elected ... • 11. Date Rape Viewpoints Changing views on Date Rape Everybody at some point in their lives partied a little to hard, whether it was one night or multiple nights. Sometimes partying too hard has a consequence to it. One main occurring problem has been Date Rape. The biggest problem with date rape is the mental aspect of it. This is a huge problem because this causes the victims to have a long term effect. Many victims are told it was their fault, and eventually they start to believe it. This causes the victims to shut people out, become enclose in their private space, and sometimes suicidal thoughts may occur. Having someone you think you can trust violate you in a way that nobody should be violated completely throws your world out of whack". This is something that's can completely change your life, and not in a good way. Not being able to trust another person, has to be very tough. Luckily Coleman has recovered and starting sharing her story with other date rape victims and started a group therapy session with other date rape victims. • 13. Differing Viewpoints Differing Viewpoints Many people grow up not ever wanting to accept anything; they want to always push for something better. All over the United States people believe you have cancer and are going to possibly die that you should push against the odds and try to live. This is one reason that the assisted suicide act is such a controversial thing. Many people believe that assisted suicide or Death with Dignity is a good thing because it gives someone who is actually dealing with the pain and suffering the choice. They have an option and can be heard that if they are in unbearable pain and don't want to suffer they believe this law is perfect for that. People also believe that if you have the right to do this, the people can pass in peace. They are trying to get away from people living in terrible pain until they do die, they want you to be at peace and happy when you pass away. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are all told growing up you can conquer anything and if you can request a quicker death they believe that its teaching people that killing yourself is the easy way out. Also what has been said is that if a family member wants this to happen and the patient can't fully comprehend what is happening, then the family can push the patient to agree to the assisted suicide. • 15. Different Viewpoints Everybody has a different perspective on different topics. Not all viewpoints are the same on certain topics. The perspective others have can shape the way they are now. Different viewpoints show others how you have grown and feel about certain topics. From the perspective of a girl who had a step sister that chose to accept lies and friends over family. When my step sister finally moved out, she decided to cause issues with the family so she could try to get her father back. In the process of doing that, she made up an accusation about him to try to have the family tore apart so she could have him back. After his first counseling session, we got a phone call saying he was no longer allowed to live with us, but he come visit as long as there was another adult with him. This only happened as a result of the counselor being concerned for my well–being. So right now, my family is torn apart and struggling more than before. I'm hoping that soon he will be able to come back home so we can be a family again. In the future, when I turn eighteen, my stepfather will be able to live with his family again unless something changes. If the counselor decides it is ok for him to come live with us before I turn eighteen, then we can be a family again. This whole experience so far has shown me that lying to get your way can cause more issues in the long run. If I lied to get my way, I know I would lose my family because they wouldn't be able to trust me anymore. Lying shows that you are a selfish and irresponsible person. This situation has shown me to be more responsible and care about other people's feelings not just myself. I believe one day in the future if I have two daughters, I would teach them not to lie about their own family to get their way. I would also try to make sure that they don't have their friends help them along with the situation because they can lose friends and family. Also, I would teach them to respect their parents because they will never know when they might need ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Analysis Of Annie Baker 's ' The Aliens ' Accompanying documentation Annie Baker is a Pulitzer prize–winning playwright whose works present a charming, quiet affection for human interactions with The Aliens being a great example of those qualities. It is a deceivingly easy seeming thing to take ordinary conversations and elevate them to being theatrically relevant, but Annie Baker manages to do just that in her writing. The big question is how to convey meaningful subtext with the silence that is written and woven into her plays. The Aliens is a simple play about two misfits who spend their time behind a coffee shop and the young Evan who joins them. The play is about alienation and not fitting in with society, but also, on a deeper level, about the gulfs of solitude that exists between all human beings. As a death happens between acts, it comes to remind the audience our own human endings and suddenly the very small things, like pauses, can take on a very strong, haunting meaning. As much as there is space between society and these three characters, there 're gulfs of it between the characters themselves. Again, Baker uses rhythm and pauses as a way to show how we process one another by using the things we don't say. How we use silence to gauge others intentions. A part of this is to give off a minimalist and real way of speaking. We often hold pauses when we talk to each other – we think, we hesitate and we are afraid. Another way to look at this idea is to think of the characters as aliens because they use a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Four Primary Viewpoints During my research into the viewpoints concerning the book of Revelation, I have come away with the knowledge that while there are a variety of differing views with various degrees of merit knowing which is correct is highly improbable. And that the pursuit of greater understanding continues to strengthen my faith and walk as I strive to continue to grow not only from this course but in life. It is through that desire that one can approach with an open mind and spirit the differing views presented concerning Revelation. The four primary viewpoints currently presented are Preterist, Historicist, Futurist, and Idealist/Spiritualist. It's used for both medical and recreational purposes, although when used medically it has a greater effect for the patient. Marijuana has been legalized in 28 states and statistics collected during the period of the legalization supported that marijuana helped many patients with serious diseases, such as aids, and cancer. Yes, having quotas can diversify the class discussions, and help other students gain a different perspective on things. Terry Swenson says, "race doesn't correlate with a particular viewpoint and, therefore, we look beyond skin color alone to a student's background (parental occupation, parental educational background, neighborhood) as we try to assess what different perspective he/she may bring to our campus." Your race doesn't necessarily change your views on issues, but your experiences, education, and geography do. • 25. Political Viewpoints The public's perspectives on political issues may change as various circumstances happen every day. Nature around us influences the choices that we deliver and the perspectives that we as American nationals hold. In order to obtain those views and concluded on decisions is based on the values that we embrace. These values are originated from our upbringing, friends, family, and our life experiences that we, as individuals, face. Our principles then determine what we deem important or non–important and in a political sense can even tell us what party we identify ourselves. In taking the Ideology Quiz, I found my results to fall smack dab in the liberal area. After taking time and really relating my values tom my answers throughout the quiz, I do agree with this classification. I believe the survey itself classified me as a Liberal due to the values I share with other Liberals. The most significant one being equality. Written in this viewpoint, the story is read as a tale instead of an autobiography and the author becomes more distant with the story like he is looking into it rather than writing it. O'Brien most likely wrote parts of the story in third person because it is traditional and benefits the reader by allowing them to get to know multiple characters rather than just the narrator. One of the viewpoints, Macbeth is easily manipulated by a wife he loves and acts to prove to her that he is a man, is the most valid because if Macbeth never sent Lady Macbeth the letter informing her about his encounter with the Witches, then the death of Duncan may never have occurred. In Act 1 Scene 5, Macbeth sends Lady Macbeth a letter about his encounter with the witches who hailed him as "Thane of Cawdor" and referred to him as the "king that shalt be." Whether or not this act should be allowed is widely debated between characters. The viewpoints on the matter from characters Antigone, Ismene, Creon, and The Chorus provide detailed explanations on each of their opinions about burial and loyalty. Going against the written rules, Antigone (sister of Ismene) believes her late brother should receive a proper burial. To Antigone there is no other option but burial, her passion on the subject is what started the argument with her sister Ismene. Despite being her sister, Ismene is very different and shares complete opposite views on the matter than Antigone. Ismene initially thought Antigone would want to keep her plan to bury him private, Ismene did not fully understand how devoted Antigone is to orchestrating this burial ceremony. • 33. Viewpoints On Ageism In the past one hundred years, the human life expectancy has increased by thirty years. This trend continues to rise (Hooyman & Kiyak, 2018). As a direct result, the amount of elderly people in our society will also rise. At first glance, this may seem like a positive growth in our society. However, when taking a second look, you come to realize that with such a positive trend comes a negative trend: the growth of ageism. Ageism consists of the stereotypical and discriminatory viewpoints placed upon an individual based solely on age (Hooyman & Kiyak, 2018). Stereotypes generalize large groups of people primarily on the behaviors or appearances of just a small percentage of people within that group (Cambridge, 2017). Discrimination is the act of treating someone unfairly based upon certain personal attributes (Cambridge, 2017). As a moderate, I've done researches on how other countries control their government and I found one weapon control from Japan to be very suitable for our own use in the United States. The idea benefits both sides of the party; the common individuals are allowed to have weapons for their own protection but only when they have taken classes and pass a certain test of mental and physical health to prove their fitness. A background check is also permitted to prevent any member of criminal or extremist groups to have such weapons. Then a file is kept along with all gun owners in that area. If anything's ambiguous or not controlled to a single meaning, Christopher will not respect it or acknowledge it. Christopher's need to define is a theme, throughout the book, becoming the motivating force behind all his actions. In this sequence, Christopher immediately shifts from Mrs. Alexander's as an option to his mother to keep his rules from breaking. Christopher goes a two whole train rides out of his way to avoid breaking his rules. This passage also brings into focus how much he values dogs, "she wasn't a friend or a member of my family even if she had a dog", and Christopher's willingness to see a dog as a deciding factor into where he stays holds weight into the decision to forgive his father. After all, Christopher's father didn't just kill dog, he killed Christopher's friend: an entity he now values above his father because dogs don't lie. Drinking Biblical Viewpoint Biblical Viewpoint of Drinking There are many opinions on whether drinking is okay, but one thing that can prove whether it is or not is looking at verses in the Bible. Although the Bible does not exactly say that one should not drink and drive, it does say do not get drunk. If people listen to the principle of being wise and not let driving skills get impaired because of it than drinking and driving would not be a problem. There is nothing wrong with having a little to drink, but it is not wise to get drunk. An example in the Bible is Ephesians 5:18. This states "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit"(ESV). That shows that Jesus does not want us to be drunk, but live for God all the time. Another verse is Proverbs 20:1, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise" (ESV). Both of these verses are saying that it is not good to become ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the idea that the drinker needs help from a professional is necessary, that cannot be the only consequence. That is very important, but it does not get the point across to some people (debate.org). They need to go to jail for a while to process what they did wrong, and once they realize how awful the punishment is, it will hopefully prevent it from happening again. If people think that when they get caught all they have to do is go to DUI classes, then people would not care and continue after the class (debate.org). Drinking and driving is very serious and should not be taken lightly. It is a fact that people die from others awful decisions. It is proven that a driver can be under the legal limit of 0.08 and still have effected driving skills. In fact, driving is actually affected at .04 BAC level (George, 2013). That shows that the law is lenient on how much is allowed to drink. Every person has different amounts of tolerance for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 65. Different Viewpoints On The Autism There are a few different viewpoints on the Autism CARES Act from the taxpayer's perspective. These perspectives are largely based on that person's general beliefs about autism or how this policy affects people with autism spectrum disorders and their families. To many it was clear that the Combating Autism Act (CAA) had been largely unsuccessful and they were looking at how this policy could be improved. General concerns regarding this policy are centered around how the funding is being used and in what ways it is benefiting those with autism. Some believe that this policy would be better if there were a few changes, while others have a negative view of the policy as a whole; people also realize that the policy is not exactly perfect, but it is a start. With the new changes in language for the Autism CARES Act, some are content with how these changes will affect the autism community. The reauthorization of the CAA means that they are still seeking out answers, providing families with educational support, and developing early protection procedures. This policy is important to them, their friends or loved ones, and others with autism because "it continues to shine a light on the need for more research and better education, along with the monitoring of services and funding" (Tobik, 2014). As Amy Tobik goes on to say, "Families need to know that they are supported by their community and by their government and that we are fighting right alongside them to get them the services ... Opposing Viewpoints In Schools Held Back: A look at American Schooling Knowledge is arguably the World's most valuable resource; without it the human race would be in the darkness, surrounded by predators and savages. However, the Human race has never been keen to have its final moments in the dark. Humans produced fire, managed to capture it in glass, built cities fueled by it and have fought wars over the right to stand in its light. With that in mind, the education of all Humans is not a task to be taken lightly. • 69. An Assessment Of A Differing Viewpoint An assessment of a differing viewpoint. On the other hand, some people believe that families should make medical decisions for a patient. Family members can rationalize this behavior as protecting their loved ones from a terminal diagnosis and the fear of death. Other perspectives of hiding medical information can include the rational of not confusing a patient who is already ill, causing more pain, leaving a patient without hope, or even the fear that the patient may consider suicide if they know their life will end anyway (Bok, 1987, p 185). Reconstruction Paternalistic secrecy is defined as adult children purposely misleading the parent by keeping medical terminal diagnosis from them, to shield the patient. The treatment, prognosis, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bok also believes that there is the notion that patient's do not want bad news and they prefer not to have to face serious illness or death. In doing this, doctors and families are lying or concealing the truth as not to confuse a sick person or leave them without hope, therefore improving the changes of recovery (Bok, 1987, 185). Analysis Allen believes that paternalistic secrecy was a major feature in health care, but the ideas of patient autonomy and informed consent do not happen. Health care is changing from the doctor is always right, to asking questions about care and making decisions with the health care team. He does maintain that in some cultures, this is tolerable, and wanted by patients, as it is what they know and seek conform in this method. The family can take care of them as the patient is ill and will prepare for the end of life care. Allen does go on to state that if deception is wrong, then lying about medical treatment and prognosis is unethical (Allen, 2015). Bok argues that being lied to will result in angry and disappointed patients, although they usually do not want the bad news, and the majority of patients do not want to face serious illness or death. If a patient knows the medical team is lying to them, they will lose trust in the process and the medical team. While it is true that people do not want to face their death, they would rather plan to prepare their loved ones for this, instead of not understanding what is going on with ... • 71. Viewpoints On Animal Farm Have you ever thought of someone's viewpoints changing for a purpose? Well that's how I feel because of the situation I was put in, which was the great Animal Farm. My viewpoints changed from me need to be bossed around by a dictator to actually fighting for myself and doing what I thought was right. I used to be for a dictator , aka Napoleon. My viewpoints used to be all for him because I was so entranced by him and his leadership ways, I saw he was leading us towards a dystopia. He had me wrapped around his finger. Like I've always said "Napoleon is always right", but I know I thought wrong (Orwell 56). • 73. Assisted Suicide Viewpoints An ongoing national concern is assisted suicide. Should it be legal or illegal? Assisted suicide is defined as the death of a patient due to suffering caused by an incurable disease. They end their life by taking lethal amounts of drugs provided by a doctor. (Oxford University Press 2015).In America, people have rights, but does the government have the authority to decide personal choices for them? This is a very realistic topic discussed among the nation's citizens. The following are considered extreme viewpoints of this topic: humanistic, capitalistic, conservative, and liberal. There are currently only five states that practice the death with dignity law, those being Oregon, Washington, Vermont, New Mexico, and Montana. Some are legalized ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 75. Hillary Clinton Viewpoints The Democratic and Republican Party primaries are over. America is left with two main candidates to choose from in the upcoming U.S. presidential election this coming November: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. As of right now, both candidates are still considered "presumptive" in their respective parties until each party holds their national convention and officially nominates them. Barring a Hillary Clinton indictment, one of those two will become the next president of the United States. Gary Johnson, the Libertarian party presidential candidate, will not be elected as the next president. An "independent" candidate, nominated by the self–proclaimed anti–Trump conservatives, will not be elected as the next president. Nominating an anti–Trump ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... has a major problem with illegal immigration. The reason the U.S. has a problem with illegal immigration is because we have an administration and political party that allows it. The liberal argument is that illegal immigrants contribute so much to our economy. But the truth is illegal immigrants take more than they contribute. According to a study conducted by Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in 2013, illegal immigrants cost U.S. tax payers $113 billion while only contributing $1.27 billion. The majority of the $1.27 billion was in sales taxes from purchasing consumer products. $84 billion of the $112 was from state and local tax dollars. The study used examples of how different states are operating at a fiscal deficit compared to how much illegal immigrants were costing the state. One example is California. "California, facing a budget deficit of $14.4 billion in 2010–2011, is hit with an estimated $21.8 billion in annual expenditures on illegal aliens." On top of the tax and other financial burden, illegal immigrants are taking away blue collar and unskilled jobs from Americans, leaving many American workers unemployed. Donald Trump plans to stop illegal immigration by deporting illegal aliens and building a wall on the U.S–Mexican border that Mexico will pay for. Once again, this is not racist. It may be unfair to the illegal immigrants, but it is not racist because of the enormous financial impact illegal immigrants has on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. False Balance Of Viewpoints Honors 232, Bio and Society, Lecture 5 Questions 2. I agree that journalism and policies must give all viewpoints the chance to be shared with the public, but I do not support the false balance of scientific legitimacy being granted to all viewpoints. It is important for the public to be informed of current scientific issues, without a doubt; however, I think the public should hear more about the viewpoint that the majority of the scientific community supports. In the process of weighing the evidence, it is true that the less legitimate viewpoints must also be considered. However, the false balance of viewpoints in journalism and policies makes it harder for the general public, especially the non–scientifically trained, to recognize the viewpoint ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While I do agree that patients trusting the Internet more than their doctors is a very real and troubling problem, the article "Why you trust the internet more than your doctor" raises a few questions for me. First, the credibility of the author is concerning, as his only identifier is the Twitter handle "DocBastard." Upon investigating further, DocBastard maintains a blog titled "Stories from the trauma bay," with a profile that does not provide any specifics on where he attended university or medical school, or any education for that matter. Plus, considering that the description of his blog is "stories about general surgery, trauma surgery, dumb patients, dumb doctors, and dumb shit from the dumb world around us," I am not sure how much I can trust this writer. I think DocBastard's intended audience was the general public, with the assumption that most people have little scientific knowledge or a scientific mindset. His article was a call to action to this audience, a plea to rely on experts who spent years in medical school instead of a quick Internet search. However, I do not think the author's intended audience would be swayed to change their ways after reading this article. The writing style of this article was highly redundant, as he kept repeating the phrase "I get it" exasperatedly. While a person with a scientific mindset would find this article reasonable and even humorous at points, the general public would be put off by the article's highly cynical tone. All the points the author makes are not convincing enough; his piece reads more like a rant than a persuasive paper, thus eliminating his intended purpose to convince his readers to trust doctors. If doctors want patients to trust them more, they should not have "DocBastard" be their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
