The document discusses various software tools used by a student group to construct their opening sequence for a film project. They used Spiderscribe to research techniques from other films and organize ideas. Prezi was used similarly to Spiderscribe but allowed movement between sections. iMovie was used to import and edit test footage. Slideshare embedded PowerPoint presentations onto other software. Blogger was the most important as it allowed sharing of ideas and organization of information found using different software.
2. Spiderscribe
• We used the software spiderscribe to share and to gain more
ideas for our opening sequence. My group researched
different films which we explained the different areas of the
opening sequences such as camera angles, Mise en scene,
editing and sound. This was a way of gathering ideas for our
own opening sequence. This software can create mind maps
so the information we find can be tidy. This software was very
useful because this helped us to use different techniques for
when we make our opening sequence because it allows us to
include information from a film that we have analysed so that
we can place it into a tidy format.
3. Prezi
• Prezi is a software which is similar to spiderscribe because it is
in a similar presentation format but with Prezi it can move to
different sections so you can look at different information.
This was useful for when I’m going to make my opening
sequence because we create Presentation so that we can
include ideas and crucial information such as production and
distribution.
4. Imovie
• Me and my group used Imovie to import and
edit our footage for our opening sequence.
We started of using the software individually
with footage taken of me walking into a room
giving dialogue. This was useful so we can
learn and develop editing techniques so it can
help for when we use footage for our opening
sequence.
5. Slideshare
• Slideshare is used to import Presentation such as powerpoint
so that you can embed it onto other software which I have
used this to embed on a blog. This was useful for making our
opening sequence because slide share can take a presentation
that can’t be embed and placing it into the software that can
allow it to embed. His was useful because we were able as
group to share ideas without looking at one computer.
6. Blogger
• Blogger was one of the most important piece of software that
we used because it was a method of sharing each others ideas
and this also helped with the organisation in the making of
our opening sequence so that all the information that we
have found can be found without a any problems. This was
also key for when we were doing prep work for the opening
sequence because we used a variety of different software
which we would create presentations and embed onto the
blog.
