1) The document is the first chapter of "Diary of the Ugly Jade" and introduces the main character, Jade, who was born homosexual with an ugly face in a poor family in Alaska. 2) As a child, Jade enters school where he meets and befriends another student, Jem, despite being poor and bullied for his appearance. Their friendship is nicknamed "J&J". 3) In their sixth grade, a new student named Juliene transfers to their school after being betrayed by friends previously. She also becomes close with Jade and Jem, and they form a strong friendship.

In a town named Nabraska, a small town in Alaska. There is this homosexual that is born his name is
Jade. Jade is homosexual that is gifted with a unique talent and a face that everybody laughs, tease and
hates.
Jade is born in a family that has an income of $100 a day his father work in a shoe store and his mother
is a mere housewife. He lives in a house that is made from bamboo and low quality class of materials.
On the day, jade was born he was loved and kept by his parents even with his ugly face but they have
seen Jade as a precious treasure because of its brain that is as powerful like a computer.
At the age of 7, Jade had seen the world, as a world full of joy and happiness even if their family is living
in poverty. He have seen his father as sword that he can use to fight the battle of life and seen his
mother as shield that can protect him in a wolf that is so eager to attack him. Jade’s parents decided to
let Jade enter the school even if they cant afford for the reason they want Jade’s brain not to be put in
waste.
Part 2: The Meet up
As Jade enters the gate of the school, his emotions is mix up, there are the feelings of excitement, joy
and fear, Fear for the reason that Jade only wears a old pair of slippers and a clothes that is as old as his
hair. Jade let all this fear go out of his body, for the words of his father, “ My princess make papa
proud’. This words makes him strong and enters the gate. As Jade walks to his classroom, there is a girl
that caught his attention, a girl full of confidence and beauty her name is Jem.

2. Jem: hi..what is your name?
Jade: hi..my name is Jade. You what is your name?
Jem: I am Jem, do u also belong in Grade 1-brilliant?
Jade: yup, so that means we are classmate.
Jem: yes, can we be friends..
Jade: yes, I want you also to be my friend
Jem: nice one, so now our friendship name is J&J
Jade: okay.. We are J&J
The two happy children enter their classroom so happy and enjoy the day as if it’s the end of the world.
Chapter 2: The Maturity and The Love
Part 1: A treasure that can be lost
When Jade and Jem are in Grade 6, there is a transfer student in their school. This girl is very mysterious
and don’t talk to other people her name is Juliene. She is a person who has a history of mistrust to other
people, some of her friends used her and only tamed her because of her money and influence in their
school. She listened to one of the conversation of her friends and found out there secret. Because of this
incident Juliene decide to transfer school.
In her new found home or may we call school, She had found new friends or we may call true friends.
The 3 angels had built a friendship that no storm or calamity can destroy.
Months had past and graduation is coming near but our star is not yet prepared nor he is excited of this
milestone in his life. Our star has no clothes yet and their family has no money to pay the graduation
fee. The savings only of Jade can pay half of the fee that they will pay, so Jade decided to work so that
he can have enough money to pay the fee and have a clothes in their graduation.
4 weeks had past, our star had endured pains and difficulties in achieving the money he needed, Jade
had successfully paid the graduation fee and had bought clothes for his graduation.
Early morning after breakfast, Jade is very excited to go to school. Their Teacher had told him that he is
the valedictorian of their class. Jem and Juliene say congratulations to their friend and planned to give
gift to their friend on the day of the program.
As Jade walks on his way home, he is shocked and nervous because there is a bug smoke near the
