This report summarizes the author's 3-month internship experience at British American Tobacco (BAT) in Malakisi, Kenya. The key responsibilities included preparing goods receipts, documentation of projects, stock checking and forecasting, assisting with the family day event, and helping to organize the annual Battle of Minds business competition. The report also provides background on BAT and tobacco production in Kenya, including the organizational structure, policies and competitors in the region. Organic tobacco production methods are described focusing on transplant production, field growing, harvest, curing and marketing.
