This document is from Democracy for America's "DFA Night School" program, which provides training on get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts for the 2008 US presidential election. It outlines tactics like using social networks and peer pressure to get friends and contacts to pledge to vote for Obama, targeting those who can vote early. Attendees are encouraged to make contact with potential voters through phone calls, postcards, emails, and follow up to ensure they vote. The goal is to generate 3 million "viral votes" through these grassroots efforts.
2010: Social - Best habits to follow and pitfalls to avoid!
Venkat is a member of the "Professional Speakers Association of India" and delivers engaging talks for leading corporates and startups. To check his availability contact him through tncv.me or twitter: @venkatarangan.
This presentation was given at Miami University's "Winter College" where alums return for lectures. This one hour lecture was targeted to an audience that did not know much about Twitter and wasn't sure why they should care about it. It is largely the personal case for using Twitter, though it references Jeff Bullas' arguments for the business case. It also uses arguments and examples from Clay Shirky, Twitter, and others. The last part of the presentation is in response to a request where the alums submitted a list of interests, and I found twitter resources to match those interests - hence the long list of links.

This participatory session will engage attendees in some meaningful dialogue around several aspects of digital citizenship. We'll explore some hot-button topics and consider their impact on the work we do as educators. This session will provide clarification around a number of key digital citizenship issues and will also highlight a valuable model for engaging your students in classroom conversations. There’s a fair bit of fear mongering disguised as digital citizenship online. Our kids need more models of empathy and empowerment – so do we. We’ll share some of those models too.

Our world is changing. Advertising agencies blew the web opportunity the first time around, but they’re not going to let this happen again. They’re smart. They understand communication. They can run persuasive rings around BJ Fogg. And they’ve been doing user research since before Jakob Nielsen was born.
The last couple of years, IAs have learned to appreciate business thinkers like Philip Kottler and Peter Drucker. Now it’s time to get acquainted with the ad industry’s pioneers: Claude Hopkins, John Caples, Rosser Reeves, Bill Bernbach, and David Ogilvy.
This presentation will take a closer look at what ad agencies consider “good” advertising, how they interpret “concept,” and why our notion of “proof of concept” is completely nonsensical in the world of advertising.
I’ll show you some successful campaigns and some award-winning campaigns -- these are not necessarily the same thing -- and explain out why these are admired or condemned by so-called “creatives” at ad agencies.
The Web Dogma 10 years on: tarnished or timeless?Eric Reiss
The Web Dogma was first conceived in 2003 as a set of usability best practices that transcended fashion and technology. Today, these guidelines are used by thousands of designers and studios the world over. But as we enter a new age where "responsive design" and "mobile first" have become the watchwords of a new generation, has the Web Dogma stood the test of time? The answer may surprise you!

Innovation, apps and the monetization hexagon, UX Sofia 2014Eric Reiss
Everyone talks about innovation. But what is it? Everyone is developing apps. But will they gain traction in the marketplace? We all want to monetize our creations, but is there a recipe for success?
Perhaps there is. Introducing the monetization hexagon - an 18-point evaluation model for predicting the success of an online app or offline service.

Opinion towards Open Educational Resources: a Case Study of Augmented Reality...Dr Poonsri Vate-U-Lan
The presentation for the 4th conference, 2012 Asia Regional OpenCourseWare and Open Education Conference in Bangkok, on January 21st -22nd, 2013. By Dr. Poonsri Vate-U-Lan
There are over 30,000 lobbyists working in Washington, DC right now. Corporations are spending millions to block open-access public healthcare option, cap and trade legislation and a host of other progressive priorities this year.
They are organized and well funded -- the only thing that stands in their way is you.
This month DFA Night School and Gov. Howard Dean M.D. are teaming up to teach you how to beat them at their own game:

Would you like to know exactly how many votes it\'s going to take to win in November? Where and when to deploy the limited volunteer and financial resources so that they have the greatest impact? DFA will be covering all this and much more in this hour long online training program. Click the link above to sign up and learn how to listen to the live presentation online or over the telephone.
Democrats in Washington are playing defense, but DFA is playing offense. The 50 State Strategy elected scores of Democrats in 2006 and 2008, and it will elect scores of progressives this fall.
Host a DFA 50 State Action Plan Meeting for DFA members and progressive activists near you on Tuesday, May 18th @ 8:30PM EST. On the conference call, you'll hear from Governor Howard Dean and DFA Field Director Matt Blizek about our strategy to elect progressives and keep growing our community in 2010 and beyond. Sign up now.
DFA Night School is back to help you master the emerging art of Twitter. This new medium is rising faster than any other social networking platform, but is it destined to be overloaded with celebrity gossip and trivia or will it become a revolutionary tool for social change? We will explore it's strengths and limitations as we work to separate the hype from Reality on using Twitter to organizing online.
Our guest trainers will be Adam Green from the PCCC (@adamgreenonline) and Jen Nedeau (@humanfolly) from Air America. This training will take place live from the Netroots Nation convention in Pittsburgh. You can be part of this great event for free right from your own home.
Welcome to the Program Your Destiny course. In this course, we will be learning the technology of personal transformation, neuroassociative conditioning (NAC) as pioneered by Tony Robbins. NAC is used to deprogram negative neuroassociations that are causing approach avoidance and instead reprogram yourself with positive neuroassociations that lead to being approach automatic. In doing so, you change your destiny, moving towards unlocking the hypersocial self within, the true self free from fear and operating from a place of personal power and love.
https://bit.ly/BabeSideDoll4u Babeside is a company that specializes in creating handcrafted reborn dolls. These dolls are designed to be incredibly lifelike, with realistic skin tones and hair, and they have become increasingly popular among collectors and those who use them for therapeutic purposes. At Babeside, we believe that our reborn dolls can provide comfort and healing to anyone who needs it.
The Healing Power of Babeside's Handcrafted Creations
Our reborn dolls are more than just beautiful pieces of art - they can also help alleviate stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Studies have shown that holding or cuddling a soft object like a stuffed animal or a reborn doll can release oxytocin, which is often referred to as the "love hormone." This hormone helps us feel calm and relaxed, reducing feelings of stress and anxiety.
In addition to their physical benefits, reborn dolls can also offer emotional support. For many people, having something to care for and nurture can bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Reborn dolls can also serve as a reminder of happy memories or loved ones who have passed away.
