• Draw the front and top view of the cone.

• Divide the top view into 8 equal segments.
• Name the points as shown.

• Draw a line segment of length = O’ – 1’ with
reference to front view.

• Draw an arc with radius = O – 1 i.e. length of
line segment.

• Now the arc is being segmented.
• On the compass measure the distance of arc
on the top view (1-2).
• Cut the main arc with radius = 1-2

• Similarly cut the main arc with the same radius
