  1. A curriculum guide should be well-organized, but does not need to have any specific format – the document should be functional so that you can easily see where you are in the curriculum sequence and where instruction is going next. Even a basic Microsoft Word document can work. Sometimes, one learning sequence is optimal on a logical basis, or is supported by research; in other cases, multiple different sequences might work Such sequences of learning steps are sometimes referred to as “learning progressions” If a standard statement seems vague, consulting grade-level or subject-area colleagues can help achieve a shared understanding of the goal
