This document provides guidance for a two-part assignment on designing a 21st century instructional plan. Part 1 involves developing an instructional plan using a template that includes: a grade-level content standard, appropriate ISTE standards, a measurable learning objective, phases of the gradual release of responsibility model, differentiated instruction, evidence of rigor and student thinking at two levels of depth of knowledge, a teacher question promoting critical thinking, and two formative assessments. Part 2 requires a 1-2 page synopsis elaborating on areas difficult to show in the plan like depth of knowledge in activities and assessments.
