Darwin believed all plants and animals had changed from past families by natural selection. An
example of natural selection would be the different coloration between beetles (Understanding
Evolution, 2008). There are two different colored beetles, one is brown and the other is green. Since

In the year 1905, Russia experienced an attempted revolution through the means of its people. It could
be argued that the tsar, Nicholas, was to blame for this revolution due to the amount of upset and
discontent he brought not only within his country, but many others such as Poland and Finland too. It
could be argued that Nicholas overall attitude towards being a ruler and to his people encouraged the
revolution of 1905 as he made no attempt to stop it but only encourage it.
The initial issue that Nicholas faced was the many opposition groups that attempted to thwart his rule.
Incidentally however, the Mir, which caters for peasant/farmers lives by dividing land and food, had
poor menials of maintaining land and improving it so that its people s food grew better and the land

I often wonder how much more amazing my mother would have been if she had been afforded the
opportunity of receiving a proper education. Last but not least, spirituality was highly valued in our
home more so than anything else. My mother was a strong woman of faith. She had to be because the
deck was stacked against her: she was black, widowed with little education. Though she had those
things against her, I believe those same things molded and shaped her to being the influential person
she was. My mother seen a lot of hard times, she was no stranger to adversity and obstacles but she
always believed in prayer and the fact that the Lord would make a way out of no way. When she had
nothing else she had her faith and it made everything alright.

American until high school. I went to a predominately white school for elementary and middle school.
I was just like any other youth. I had my group of friends who were white; I was active in school

The hunger for lust, money, pride, and power can often cause irrational and immoral behaviours and
as a result destroy the lives of innocent people. This is demonstrated in Match Point whereby the main
character commits murder and adultery out of the heat of the moment which consequences in a crime
of passion. The movie exemplifies a Shakespearean tragedy described by the tragic hero s destiny of
free will which ultimately leads to his eventual downfall and his internal struggles and death.This is

Garett Hardin wrote the piece Lifeboat Ethics, in which he is giving a scenario that pertains to the
poor countries of the world. The world is divided into the global north, being the rich countries, and
the global south, being the poor countries. Hardin wants us to imagine that the rich countries have
access to a lifeboat and the poor countries are left in the water. Each country has a certain capacity,
just like a lifeboat. Hardin wants the reader to come to a conclusion and think critically about the
problems going on around the world, by giving the reader a simple idea to create in their mind about a
lifeboat. This article was published in 1974 in a manuscript that talked about issuing going against and
for aiding the poor. Now although this article was written 42 years ago, we as a nation and country
still deal with these issues of immigration and poverty, today. Lifeboat ethic is basically an argument
against one s self to aid the poor. We are given a situation in which the less fortunate are left in the
water. 100 people are in the ocean and 50 are on a lifeboat. The boat only has room for 10 more
people, so do they let people in the boat or do they save the resources they have and not let anyone
on? What if someone is to feel guilty? Then the solution according to Hardin would to be to give up
their own seat. If the boat reaches an over capacity than the boat will capsize. The boat not only

Bandura Social Learning Theory
Social learning theory (SLT), developed by psychologist Albert Bandura in 1977, laid the framework
by which people learn by observing a set of behaviors believed to be acceptable or unacceptable
(Wulfert, 2016). To further understand SLT, this paper discusses the concepts and principles behind
Bandura s theory, reviews its contribution to human behaviors, critiques it, and considers the roles
social learning plays in diversity, as well as in equality in economic and social justice.
Social Learning Theory s Main Concepts and Principles SLT is grounded in the fact that humans
acquire behaviors throughout their lifetime by acquiring knowledge through observation and
modeling. People socially influence each other through their interactions, and typically change their
desirable behaviors due to positive or negative outcomes observed (Nabavi, 2012). Bandura notes the
fundamental elements of SLT include interaction of both individuals and situations. Learning the
effects of SLT from observing others behaviors and situations can directly influence a person s choice,
as both parts are a result of the other (Hanna, Crittenden, Crittenden, 2013). There are three main
principles Bandura proposed for SLT: a person s ability to learn through observation, self regulation,

Grendel: Barbaric Beast or Misconstrued Martyr We are advised early in our lifetime by our parents,
adults, preachers, and even God himself to refrain from judging others. However, sometimes it is hard
as humans to not make assumptions about others based on the brand of clothing they wear, the amount
of money they make, or how they look. The principle of always being kind to those around us is
pounded in our heads from the minute we are able to walk. Generally, being kind and refraining from
judgement is a valuable lesson. However, in the case when appearances correspond with personality
and your first impression of someone happens to be true, it is almost impossible to believe that
judging others is a sinful act. This unique situation being that of the story of Grendel in John Gardner

nihilism. He has many negative attributes that lead me to believe that he is purely evil. These negative
traits include being psychotic, remorseless, fear indulging, and blatantly hateful. These ghastly and

Background and Objective: Neurologic literatrure about therapeutic effect of subcutaneous
corticosteroids in patients with migrainous chronic daily headache is scare. Aim of this research is
assessment of therapeutic effects of this management in the patients.
Methods: Consecutive patients with migrainous chronic daily headache in our headache clinic
enrolled a prospective before and after therapeutic study during 2010 2013. Fourty mg
Metylprednisolone was divided in four subcutaneous injection doses. Two injections were done in
right and left suboccipital area exactly at retromastoid cervicocranial junction and two injections were
performed in lower medial frontal area exactly at medial right and left eye brow limit. A headache
daily was filled out by the patient before and one month after intervention. The severity of pain was
classified based on the Pain Intensity Instrument, using a 0 to 10 point numeric rating scale. Paired t
test and Chi square served for statistical analysis.
Results: 504 patients (378 females, 126 males) with migrainous chronic daily headache underwent the
study. Dramatic, significant, moderate and mild or no improvement constituted 28.6%, 33.3%, 23.8%,
and 14.3% of the post treatment courses respectively. Therapeutic effect of intervention on mean pain
scores was significant; t=7.38, df=20, p=.000. Two cases developed subcutaneous fat atrophy in
frontal injection site and 3 cases experienced syncope during injection.

to go through outstanding difficulties. They had to make decisions that would make their goals into a
reality, and with that came casualties. Shaara also spends a perfect amount of time explaining each
person in the story, and then includes what occurred in their past to make them have the beliefs they
fight for in the war. The Killer Angels doesn t only focus on the physicality of the war, but the mental
and emotional factors that all participants had to deal with. It allowed the reader to understand why
