This document describes the design and development of a data glove to assist physically challenged individuals. The glove uses flex sensors on the fingers to control a wheelchair and home appliances wirelessly via an Arduino, XBee modules, and an H-bridge motor controller. Bending the fingers sends signals that can move the wheelchair in different directions and turn appliances on and off from up to 30 meters away. The system aims to give independent and flexible control to patients who may otherwise require a caregiver's assistance.
