Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is currently a global force in the
grocery retail industry, known for being producers, marketers,
and distributors of high-quality farm-fresh produce, fresh juices,
beverages, and snacks to consumers in North America, Europe,
Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Starting their journey in the late
1800s, Fresh Del Monte's unwavering commitment to premium
products, continuous innovation, and responsible business
practices have helped them in paving their own path in their
industry for over twelve decades: Del Monte is now recognized
the world over as a brand that does not compromise when it
comes to product quality, freshness, and reliability.
Move from B2B to B2C:
Increasing Consumer Reach
Historically, Del Monte did not sell directly to customers, but in light of the tre-
mendous success they achieved as a brand with trusted products, they started
looking for ways to get connected more fruitfully to the end consumer and de-
cided to launch an e-commerce platform. The plan was to pilot their new ven-
ture in the United Arab Emirates before taking it global, which is where oOrjit
came into the picture.
The Del Monte team was on the lookout for a very specific set of tools to launch
their brand in the online storefront - innovative technology, bespoke solutions
and experienced e-commerce consultants - all of which are our forte.
The global dynamics of consumer behavior have shifted, especially in the wake
of the COVID-19 crisis and the subsequent restrictions on movement and inter-
personal interaction. Consumer buying trends have undergone a drastic
change, with more people opting to order from the safety of their homes even
after the crisis. As the general population is now more adapted to online shop-
ping, reaching end consumers while assuring product quality and also account-
ing for human safety is the need of the hour. This can be realized only by tap-
ping into the power of connectivity offered by the internet.
Fresh Del Monte had already perfected the merchandising aspects of their
products and needed work only on the last leg of the race when they came to
us. The e-commerce ecosystem works in such a way that order processing,
confirmation, and execution for hundreds of consumers must be done efficient-
ly in a short span of time.
Fresh Del Monte needed an e-commerce platform and a team with consulting
capabilities - a solutions provider that was in sync with the values of their com-
pany. They needed focused services that were priced right, but also ensured
end-to-end integrated solutions with seamless functionalities in both the first
and last miles of their e-commerce journey, which is why they decided that
oOrjit was the perfect fit for their Digital Commerce Launch. With functional-

range and wide spectrum advertising will not be sufficient any more. And as
advertising that is targeted at a specific audience yields more optimal results,
