AFCONS Infrastructure is a renowned EPC contracting organisation in the Infrastructure Sector having very good

1. Airoli Road Bridge across Thane Creek.
Positions Held: Executive (Constructions) / Management Trainee (July 1995 to March 1997)
Project Cost: INR.100 Crores (1000 Million).
Employer: City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), Navi-Mumbai/PWD.
Project Brief: 6-Lane Major Bridge across Thane Creek. 1.5 Km Long, with Precast Post tensioned Box Girder
Superstructures (each 50m span) launched using Floating Pontoon Crane. Open Foundations (44 piers)
constructed in Creek (12m below mean sea level) with the help of Sheet Pile cofferdams. Embankments on
Marshy Clay, stabilized with Sand Piles and Sand Drains with surcharge loading method for consolidation.
Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for execution of Piers and Open Foundations in the Thane Creek
using Sheet-Pile Cofferdams. Additionally, involved in Box Girder construction and launching process. Tasks
and duties included management of resources such as Labour and Material, Preparation of Reinforcement
Schedules, cost monitoring, monthly cost reports, Progress reports, subcontract billing, Field Quality and
Client co-ordination. Role also included Project Planning and preparation of Project Schedule using
“Primavera” software.
2. Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Project.
Positions Held: Executive (Constructions) – from April 1997 to March 1998.
Employer: Reliance Industries.
Project Brief: Petroleum Refinery of capacity 1.24 million barrels per day (1, 97,000 cum/day). Work
awarded to AFCONS consisted of Tank Foundations (upto 25m in diameter), Civil Works in the Marine Tank
Farm Area, Roll-on/ Roll-off Jetty for Crude Cargo, Under-water blasting for Fire-Water collection and
distribution, Entire area compound wall and similar such Civil works.
Roles and Responsibilities: Deployed in the Quality Control Department of the Project Site. Responsible for
installation of 50cum/hour capacity automatic batching plant, assist the QA department & Management
Representative (MR) for implementation and monitoring of ISO 9000 compliant QA system on site. Daily
tasks also included Laboratory Testing of Concrete, mix design, concrete production for all kinds of works
ranging from substructure mass concrete, Piling, Under-water (sea) concrete for jetty and Precast works.
B) Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt.Ltd (CES):
CES is a renowned Project management and Design Consultancy Organization in the Infrastructure sector
operating since more than 45 years. Presently it is a fully owned subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering.
1. Flyovers in Mumbai at CMLR and Vashi Junctions.
Positions Held: Engineer (from April 1998 to April 1999). Project Cost: INR 25 Crores (250 Million).
Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Project Brief: Project involved construction of Flyovers at the busy Vashi Junction (800m long) and the
CMLR junction (800m long) in Mumbai. The scope involved Project Management and supervision of
construction of Flyovers with Precast pre-tensioned I-girders for viaduct spans and Post-tensioned box
girders for the obligatory spans (40m). The foundations were Pile Foundations.
Roles and Responsibilities: As part of the Project Management Consultancy team, responsible for
• Construction Supervision including Quality Control and assurance of all Structure components right from
foundation to Pre-cast Pre-stressed superstructure.
• Setting up of the Precast Yard for Long-line pre-tensioned I-Girder construction, Stressing procedures
and methodology. Responsible for approval of Girders shuttering, methodology of stressing, steam
curing and lifting/launching.

• Quality control and assurance for casting of Pre-cast Pre-tensioned I-girders, preparation of daily and
monthly project reports.
2. Mumbai Pune Expressway – Ghat Section from Adoshi to Khandala and Khandala-Lonavala Bypass.
Positions Held: Engineer (from May 1999 to May 2001). Project Cost: @ INR 200 Crores (2000 Million).
Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Project Brief: The project involved construction of 6-Lane Concrete Pavement Expressway in the most
difficult stretch of the Mumbai Pune Expressway i.e. the Ghat portion from Adoshi to Khandala and
Khandala-Lonavala Bypass. The various features of the project were as follows,
• 20 km Six Lane Concrete corridor paved using Slip Form Pavers.
• Viaducts (11 nos., @ 4000m 3-lane one direction length), Underpass/overpass @ 8 locations. Pier
height was upto 18m high, running along valleys in sharp curves. Superstructure included Precast Pre-
Tensioned I-Girders Launched with Cranes.
• Gabion Walls, RCC Retaining walls (upto 12m height) and Box/Pipe Culverts.
• Interchanges at Three Different locations including two in the difficult steep terrains of the Bor Ghat.
(Kusgaon, Khopoli and Ghat portion). Entry exit ramps for local connections provided.
• Steep vertical cuts upto 30m excavated using Controlled/Uncontrolled Blasting.
• Project included state of the art techniques such as steam curing for mass production of precast girders,
Gabion Structures for slope protection, Slip Form Pavers for Concrete Pavement.
Roles and Responsibilities: As part of the Project Management Consultancy team, tasks included
Construction Supervision and Quality Control of Structures and Highway constructions. Preparation of
progress and project monitoring reports. Role also included co-ordination with the design team for
constructability related matters and, provide feedback for necessary modifications.
3. Nagpur-Aurangabad-Sinnar-Ghoti-Mumbai (NASGM) Highway.
Positions Held: Engineer (June 2001 to May 2002). Project Cost: @ INR 98 Crores (980 Million).
Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.
Project Brief: The Project is a Proposed Two Lane NH standard Road connecting Nagpur to Mumbai via
hinterlands and upcoming Industrial zones in Butibori, Aurangabad, and Sinnar. The Project involved
development/ improvement of existing single lane VR/MDR/SH category roads to Two Lane NH standards,
bypasses around towns/villages/cities. Improvements with considerations to economy posed a challenge in
the development. Scope with CES included package VI, VII and VIII from Nagzari (near Amravati) to Karanja
Lad to Malegaon to Mehekar, 172.9 Km stretch. Scope of work included Project Management (Post tender)
tasks mainly Construction Supervision and Design review.
Roles and Responsibilities: Deployed as a Resident Engineer for Package VIII. As overall in-charge of field
execution, lead a team of Engineers for Site supervision, Quality Control, planning, monitoring and Design
review.
Responsibilities also included recruitment of Engineers, mobilising team for various roles in the Project,
liaison with the client, Contract Management, Checking and recommendation of contractor’s bills, Progress
reporting, handling regular correspondence with client/contractor, claims review.
In the Project, acquired skills of Highway Design using SoftDesk 8.0 software.
4. Amby Valley Sahara Lake City.
Positions Held: Engineer (June 2002 to February 2003).
Employer: Sahara India (Sahara India Commercial Corporation Limited).
Project Brief: A Hill Township in the backwaters of Mulshi Dam, near Lonavala/Pune, spread over 10,600
acres of Hilly terrain with 3 large man-made lakes/Dams. International standard 18-hole golf course and
man such state of the art facilities. Project scope included Design of Roads (Geometry and pavement),
Culverts, Footpaths, Bridges, and Utility Networks. Corridor widths varied from 6m to 30m width.
Roles and Responsibilities: Deployed as Highway Design Engineer for Detailed Engineering design of
Internal Road Infrastructure as per Master Plan
• Detailed Design and Pre-Tender activities such as surveys and investigations, detailed design,
Approvals, Quantity survey, Rate Analysis, Cost estimates, preparation of Bid Document and assistance
in bidding procedure from IFB to Bid evaluation and short listing of Bidder.
• Geometric and pavement designs for various Concrete and Bituminous roads.

• Design of Pipe Culverts including Hydraulic capacity calculations.
• Slope protection works and planning of Service Utilities under the road network.
5. March 2003 to May 2007 – Various positions in Pune office on projects as listed below,
a) Project: Paud Phata Balbharti Project. Client: Pune Municipal Corporation.
Project Length: 2 Km. Project Cost: INR.45 Crores (450million). Position Held: Team Leader.
Project Brief: The Project included 4/6 Lane Urban Road (green field alignment) passing through
foothills of Hanuman Tekdi. The Proposed road was planned to have 4-Lane Carriageway, Two
Flyovers on either end. Scope of Work included Project Management (Pre-Tender and Post-Tender
services) including Detailed Design, Tendering and Site Supervision the Project
Role/Responsibilities: Team Leader for Project Management of the Project. Carried out Survey,
Investigations, Concept Planning, Detailed Engineering Design, Quantity Estimates, Costing, Tender
Documents, Tendering process, bid evaluation, Site Supervision, Quality checks, Contractor Bill
checking and As-built drawings.
b) Project: Easterly Bypass Pune. Client: MSRDC Ltd.
Project Brief: Proposed 4-Lane, 22 Km Bypass outside Pune city connecting the National Highway
No.9 and No.4. Project included Railway Overbridge, Major/Minor Bridges, Canal Crossings, and
Box/Pipe Culverts.
Tasks/Responsibilities handled: As Highway Design Engineer and overall team lead, carried out
Detailed Engineering Design of 4-Lane Highway, Structures, and Culverts. Task also included
Detailed Cost Estimates and preparation of Tender Documents.
c) Project: IRDP Pune. Client: MSRDC Ltd.
Project Brief: Project Consisted of Design and Project management of Urban Roads in Pune City.
Roads included were Baner Road (7 Km.), Mundhwa Kharadi Road (8Km.) and Katraj Kondhwa-
Handewadi Saswad Road (10 Km.). All roads were proposed to be improved to 2/4-Lane
configuration with Bituminous Pavement.
Scope also included Planning and Design of Panmala Flyover on Sinhagad Road
Tasks/Responsibilities handled: As Design Engineer carried out Surveys, Investigations, Detailed
Engineering Design and Quantity Estimates of 4-Lane Highway, Structures, and Culverts. Task also
included Detailed Cost Estimates and preparation of Tender Documents.
For Flyover at Panmala, responsibilities included survey, soil investigation, GAD/planning, Quantity
estimate and Tender documents.
d) Project: Pedestrian/Vehicular Subways for Pune Municipal Corporation
Project Brief: Proposed were,
• Pedestrian Subway at Mahadeo Mandir Chowk
• Vehicular Subway below ROB Ramp on NH-9 at Hadapsar.
• Concept for Nal Stop Subway.
All the subways were proposed to be 2/3/4 armed to cater for any and everywhere movements
below the Junctions.
Tasks/Responsibilities assigned: As Site Engineer carried out design Co-ordination for Detailed
Structural Design, Architectural planning, Interior decoration/design and intermittent site
supervision for Quality of works being executed.
e) Project: High Capacity Mass Transit Road in Pune.Client: Pune Municipal Corporation.
Project Brief and scope: The Project included Design Feasibility for 4/6 Lane Urban Ring Road
(green field alignment) meant for Mass transit, passing all around the core area of Pune city. The
alignment proposed was 32 Km. Long and the estimated project cost was INR.1000 Crores (2005
estimates). The Project comprised of a dedicated access controlled corridor for vehicles/mass
transit with Flyovers on all major intersections, Major River Bridges, Interchanges, elevated

corridors. This remains an ambitious project of Pune Municipal Corporation waiting to be executed
after land acquisition.
Scope of work included Pre-Tender activities such as Surveys, investigations, ROW marking,
Preliminary Designs, GAD, Estimates including Techno economic feasibility.
Project Length: 32 Km. Project Cost: @ INR.1000 Crores (10,000million)
Role/Responsibilities: As a team lead, role included carrying out surveys, investigations, options,
concept plans, Estimates, overall feasibility.
f) Project: Nashik Phata Flyover. Client: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)
Project Brief and scope: The Nashik Phata Flyover is located at the Kasarwadi intersection where
NH-50 originates from the Old Mumbai Pune Highway. The Project is a multi-storied interchange
crossing various barriers i.e. Railway Line, Pawna River and the Mumbai Pune road. This is one of
the prestigious projects of PCMC, funded by World Bank. Under the JNNURM scheme, PCMC
sought World Bank Loan and do the procurement as per the World Bank Norms. The Project also
carries a BRT corridor and caters to the complex movement of pedestrians from BRT to Railway
station and from Flyover to At-grade levels. Cycle tracks also have been provided.
Scope of work included Pre-Tender activities such as Surveys, investigations, GAD, Concept,
Estimates, Tendering on World Bank norms including approvals from World Bank.
Project Cost: @ INR.100 Crores. Position Held: Team Lead (Pre-Tender stage).
Role/Responsibilities: As a team lead, role included,
• Detailed Investigations, Surveys and Traffic counts.
• General Arrangement Drawings. There were about 10 options explored and presented to
client for review.
• Preparation of cost estimates and co-ordinate for Technical Sanctions.
• GAD for ROB and its approval from Railways.
• Preparation of Tender Document based on FIDIC and SBD document of the World Bank.
The document prepared was a combination of the SBD and the Design-Build format of
World Bank. Approval of the Tender document also was included as part of the World
Bank process of Procurement.
• Technical sanction and Approval from JNNURM (Ministry of Urban Development) and
World Bank.
• Bidding/Tendering, evaluation of Bid and preparation of a detailed Bid evaluation report
on World Bank norms for appointment of contractor.
g) Other Design Projects where worked as a Highway Design Engineer are,
• Eastern Freeway alignment finalisation for bidding purpose.
• Aarey milk Colony Road, alignment and profile design (8Km, 4-Lane road in Mumbai).
• Pawana Link Road alignment and profile design (proposed 16 Km green field alignment
connecting Lonawala to Sahara Lake City.)
• Hill Roads in Karad District near Patan town for schemes under PMGSY. Length of three
roads together was 12 Km. Village road category Hill roads.
• Road Network Design in Sangvi Area of PCMC includes Urban Road @ 20 Km in length with
provisions for footpaths, junction improvement, and utility lines.
• Design of 11 intersections in Pune City for the Area Traffic Control System Project by joint
venture of C_DAC and Pune Municipal Corporation.
• Detailed Design on Junction and Subway at Wakad intersection on the NH-4 Westerly
Bypass.
6. Mumbai Pune Road from Dapodi to Nigdi in PCMC under JNNURM scheme. (Pre-Tender + Post
Tender/site supervision)
Positions Held: Highway Design Engineer (from May 2005 to July 2007). Project Cost: INR 200 Crores
(2000 Million). Total Length: 12 Km (10-Lane + Footpaths & Cycle Tracks)
Employer: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

Project Brief: Project involved widening/re-construction of the old Mumbai Pune Highway passing through
PCMC from Harris Bridge (Dapodi) to Nigdi Octroi post (PCMC limits). Length of the road involved 12 Km.
Overall width of development included 60m with 4-Lane divided main carriages and 3 lane service road on
either side. Structures on the corridor comprised of six vehicular subways, two interchanges, three grade
separators, and one flyover.
Features included Concrete Pavement by Overlay Method (introduced for the first time in Pune), Utility
Corridors on either side, dedicated Bus Lanes (BRT lanes), Pedestrian foot overbridges, and grade
separations.
Roles and Responsibilities: Played the role of Design Engineer apart of the Project Management
Consultancy team, responsible for
• Detailed Planning and Geometric Design of 12 Km. long 10 Lane concrete corridor with features as
explained above.
• Design of Concrete Pavement using Overlay method, introduced for the first time in the Urban Road
Construction in Pune. Co-ordination for Design of Structures on the corridor.
• Detailed Estimation and Tender preparation, Construction Drawings.
7. JNNURM Project Pune – Project Management (Pre-Tender + Post Tender/site supervision).
Positions Held: Team Leader (from August 2007 to December 2010).
Project Cost: INR 443 Crores (4430 Million).
Employer: Pune Municipal Corporation. Total Length: 45 Km (4/6/10 lanes with paved shoulders)
Project Brief: The Project involved Pre-Tender and Post Tender Activities for Urban Road network
improvement in Pune Municipal area under the JNNURM Funding scheme. Various roads were shortlisted
for improvement with following provisions,
• 4/6 lane Concrete/Bituminous Pavement.
• BRT Lanes, Footpath and Cycle tracks
• Utility relocation - Water, Sewer, Electrical, Telecommunication and Storm Water.
• Subways, Culverts and Bridges.
The Roads/Subways covered under the Project are,
Baner Road (6-Lane), Ganeshkhind Road (6-Lane), Paud Road (6-Lane), Deccan College to Yerwada (6-Lane),
Sangamwadi Road (4-Lane), Pune Station to Bund Garden (4-Lane), Sancheti hospital to Sangam Bridge (4-
Lane), Shivajinagar stn. to Shimla office(4-Lane), Baner Gaothan to Balewadi Gaothan (4-lane), Airport to
Ramwadi (4-Lane), Baner Road University to Hotel Green Park (4-Lane), Sangamwadi to Sadalbaba (4-Lane),
Karve Road (6-Lane), Warje Road old octroy post to Highway (4-Lane), Baner Subway, Ramwadi Subway on
Nagar Road, 3 Pedestrian subways on Nagar Road, Ahmednagar Road from Shastri nagar to Wagholi PMC
limits (6-Lanes), Road network in Kharadi (4/6-Lane).
Roles and Responsibilities: As Team Leader, responsible for Pre-Tender Activities such as Surveys,
investigations, Estimates, Tendering (Pre-qualifications and financial bid), Bid Evaluations.
8. PRE-BID Engineering and Traffic Studies carried out between August 2007 to 2012.
Positions Held: Team Leader/Senior Highway Engineer.
The Scope included carrying out Pre-bid Studies to assess the feasibility and Bidding quote for DBFOT
Project (PPP model) based on the Model Concession Agreement. Tasks executed include Engineering
Surveys, Inventory, Traffic Survey and analysis, Cost Estimation, Preliminary GAD.

o Four/six Laning of Khed-Sinnar Section of NH-50 (Maharashtra),137 Km (Rs.13000 Million)
Client: M/s. IL&FS (ITNL). Concessionaire won this Bid
o Four laning of Jodhpur Pali Section of NH-65 (Rajasthan), 70 Km (Rs.3350 Million)
Client: M/s.Piramal Roads Infra Ltd.
o Four Laning of NH-17 from Panvel to Indapur (Maharashtra),82 Km (Approx.Rs.7500 Million)
Client M/s: Supreme-Mahavir-CSCHK (JV), Mumbai. Concessionaire won this Bid

o Four-Laning of National Highway NH-14 from Beawar to Pali to Pindwara in Rajasthan, length 244 Km

9. Detailed Engineering Design of Chomu to Mahala Road.
Positions Held: Team Leader (from May 2011 to May 2012).
Project Cost: INR 200 Crores (2000 Million). Total Length: 82 Km (2-Lane with paved shoulder)
Employer: Chomu Mahala Toll Road Pvt.Ltd. an SPV of Unity Infraprojects, Mumbai.
Project Brief: The Project involves 2-Laning with Paved Shoulder of State highways connecting Chomu to
Mahalan via Jobner and Renwal on the north-west of Jaipur in the State Rajasthan. Length of Project is 82
Km. It consists of improvement to existing road to two lane with paved shoulder, two bypasses, 11 Minor
Bridges, 12 Culverts, two ROB’s. The Project is being executed as design consultants to the Concessionaire.
Project Started in May 2011 and design was completed by May 2012. Presently support of As-built is being
provided.

Project Brief: The Project involves 4-Laning with Paved Shoulder of State highway connecting Hadapsar to
Saswad on the south eastern fringe of Pune. Length of Project is 42 Km. It consists of improvement to
existing road to four-lane with paved shoulder. Two Flyovers (800m each), 5 vehicular subways, one major
Bridge, one ROB, 13 minor Bridges, culverts and retaining walls.
The Project is being executed as design consultants to the Concessionaire. Project Started in November
2011 and design was completed by November 2012. Presently support of As-built is being provided.

Positions Held: Highway Design Engineer (from October2010 to July 20154).
Project Cost: INR 350 Crores (3500 Million). Total Length: 78 Km (4-Lane with Paved shoulder)
Employer: Public Works’ Department Maharashtra.
Project Brief: The Project involves 4-Laning with Paved Shoulder of State highway Shirwal to Baramati about
60 km. from Pune. Length of Project is 78 Km. It consists of improvement to existing road to four lane with
paved shoulder. Includes 8 Major Bridges, 21 Minor Bridges, 5 Subways, 30 Culverts, Road furniture etc.

Roles and Responsibilities: As Highway Design Engineer of IE team, Design Review of Concessionaires
Design. Assist Team Leader in overall management of site.
Also closely involved in assisting Team Leader for Site supervision, Contractual matters pertaining to the
MCA, Financial Model/analysis, claims etc. Acted as Team Leader intermittently and at fag end of project.
12. Detailed Engineering Design for Roads and Utilities for South Dhaharan Home Ownership project in Saudi
Arabia.

Project includes Detailed Design of the Infrastructure for 10.2 SqKm. Development. The Main works
included are Detailed Design of Roads (2/4/6 Lane) based on AASHTO standards in civil 3D. This includes
detailed 3D Design of all Intersections, Road Corridors, Medians, Traffic Movement plan, lane
arrangements, parking, Pedestrian Movements etc. The Project also includes Utility Network Design for
Storm Water, Sanitary Sewer, Potable Water and Irrigation water networks. Combined 3-D Model was
finally delivers including all roads and Utilities in one 3-D model.
Role/Responsibilities,
As a Team Leader/Project Manager, responsible for overall Project Management, Resourcing, team
building, project delivery (Detailed Design) of entire Road Network, Utility Network, and 3D model for
Roads and Clash detection for Utilities. Design is based on AASHTO standards.
13. Design of Junctions, Roads and Improvement Schemes in Essex County, United Kingdom.
Positions Held: Highways Lead (from July 2015 till date).
Role/Responsibilities include Lead and guide a team of Designers/technicians for design of Highways,
Intersections and Urban road networks in the Essex county of United Kingdom. Design based on DMRB
standards of UK. Major Highway projects are based on BIM Level 2 modeling.

AFCONS Infrastructure is a renowned EPC contracting organisation in the Infrastructure Sector having very good professional presence in Roads, Highways, Bridges and Tunnel Projects. 1. Airoli Road Bridge across Thane Creek. Positions Held: Executive (Constructions) / Management Trainee (July 1995 to March 1997) Project Cost: INR.100 Crores (1000 Million). Employer: City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), Navi-Mumbai/PWD. Project Brief: 6-Lane Major Bridge across Thane Creek. 1.5 Km Long, with Precast Post tensioned Box Girder Superstructures (each 50m span) launched using Floating Pontoon Crane. Open Foundations (44 piers) constructed in Creek (12m below mean sea level) with the help of Sheet Pile cofferdams. Embankments on Marshy Clay, stabilized with Sand Piles and Sand Drains with surcharge loading method for consolidation. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for execution of Piers and Open Foundations in the Thane Creek using Sheet-Pile Cofferdams. Additionally, involved in Box Girder construction and launching process. Tasks and duties included management of resources such as Labour and Material, Preparation of Reinforcement Schedules, cost monitoring, monthly cost reports, Progress reports, subcontract billing, Field Quality and Client co-ordination. Role also included Project Planning and preparation of Project Schedule using “Primavera” software. 2. Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Project. Positions Held: Executive (Constructions) – from April 1997 to March 1998. Employer: Reliance Industries. Project Brief: Petroleum Refinery of capacity 1.24 million barrels per day (1, 97,000 cum/day). Work awarded to AFCONS consisted of Tank Foundations (upto 25m in diameter), Civil Works in the Marine Tank Farm Area, Roll-on/ Roll-off Jetty for Crude Cargo, Under-water blasting for Fire-Water collection and distribution, Entire area compound wall and similar such Civil works. Roles and Responsibilities: Deployed in the Quality Control Department of the Project Site. Responsible for installation of 50cum/hour capacity automatic batching plant, assist the QA department & Management Representative (MR) for implementation and monitoring of ISO 9000 compliant QA system on site. Daily tasks also included Laboratory Testing of Concrete, mix design, concrete production for all kinds of works ranging from substructure mass concrete, Piling, Under-water (sea) concrete for jetty and Precast works. B) Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt.Ltd (CES): CES is a renowned Project management and Design Consultancy Organization in the Infrastructure sector operating since more than 45 years. Presently it is a fully owned subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering. 1. Flyovers in Mumbai at CMLR and Vashi Junctions. Positions Held: Engineer (from April 1998 to April 1999). Project Cost: INR 25 Crores (250 Million). Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. Project Brief: Project involved construction of Flyovers at the busy Vashi Junction (800m long) and the CMLR junction (800m long) in Mumbai. The scope involved Project Management and supervision of construction of Flyovers with Precast pre-tensioned I-girders for viaduct spans and Post-tensioned box girders for the obligatory spans (40m). The foundations were Pile Foundations. Roles and Responsibilities: As part of the Project Management Consultancy team, responsible for • Construction Supervision including Quality Control and assurance of all Structure components right from foundation to Pre-cast Pre-stressed superstructure. • Setting up of the Precast Yard for Long-line pre-tensioned I-Girder construction, Stressing procedures and methodology. Responsible for approval of Girders shuttering, methodology of stressing, steam curing and lifting/launching.

Mumbai Pune Expressway – Ghat Section from Adoshi to Khandala and Khandala-Lonavala Bypass. Positions Held: Engineer (from May 1999 to May 2001). Project Cost: @ INR 200 Crores (2000 Million). Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. Project Brief: The project involved construction of 6-Lane Concrete Pavement Expressway in the most difficult stretch of the Mumbai Pune Expressway i.e. the Ghat portion from Adoshi to Khandala and Khandala-Lonavala Bypass. The various features of the project were as follows, • 20 km Six Lane Concrete corridor paved using Slip Form Pavers. • Viaducts (11 nos., @ 4000m 3-lane one direction length), Underpass/overpass @ 8 locations. Pier height was upto 18m high, running along valleys in sharp curves. Superstructure included Precast Pre- Tensioned I-Girders Launched with Cranes. • Gabion Walls, RCC Retaining walls (upto 12m height) and Box/Pipe Culverts. • Interchanges at Three Different locations including two in the difficult steep terrains of the Bor Ghat. (Kusgaon, Khopoli and Ghat portion). Entry exit ramps for local connections provided. • Steep vertical cuts upto 30m excavated using Controlled/Uncontrolled Blasting. • Project included state of the art techniques such as steam curing for mass production of precast girders, Gabion Structures for slope protection, Slip Form Pavers for Concrete Pavement. Roles and Responsibilities: As part of the Project Management Consultancy team, tasks included Construction Supervision and Quality Control of Structures and Highway constructions. Preparation of progress and project monitoring reports. Role also included co-ordination with the design team for constructability related matters and, provide feedback for necessary modifications. 3. Nagpur-Aurangabad-Sinnar-Ghoti-Mumbai (NASGM) Highway. Positions Held: Engineer (June 2001 to May 2002). Project Cost: @ INR 98 Crores (980 Million). Employer: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. Project Brief: The Project is a Proposed Two Lane NH standard Road connecting Nagpur to Mumbai via hinterlands and upcoming Industrial zones in Butibori, Aurangabad, and Sinnar. The Project involved development/ improvement of existing single lane VR/MDR/SH category roads to Two Lane NH standards, bypasses around towns/villages/cities. Improvements with considerations to economy posed a challenge in the development. Scope with CES included package VI, VII and VIII from Nagzari (near Amravati) to Karanja Lad to Malegaon to Mehekar, 172.9 Km stretch. Scope of work included Project Management (Post tender) tasks mainly Construction Supervision and Design review. Roles and Responsibilities: Deployed as a Resident Engineer for Package VIII. As overall in-charge of field execution, lead a team of Engineers for Site supervision, Quality Control, planning, monitoring and Design review. Responsibilities also included recruitment of Engineers, mobilising team for various roles in the Project, liaison with the client, Contract Management, Checking and recommendation of contractor’s bills, Progress reporting, handling regular correspondence with client/contractor, claims review. In the Project, acquired skills of Highway Design using SoftDesk 8.0 software. 4. Amby Valley Sahara Lake City. Positions Held: Engineer (June 2002 to February 2003). Employer: Sahara India (Sahara India Commercial Corporation Limited). Project Brief: A Hill Township in the backwaters of Mulshi Dam, near Lonavala/Pune, spread over 10,600 acres of Hilly terrain with 3 large man-made lakes/Dams. International standard 18-hole golf course and man such state of the art facilities. Carried out Survey, Investigations, Concept Planning, Detailed Engineering Design, Quantity Estimates, Costing, Tender Documents, Tendering process, bid evaluation, Site Supervision, Quality checks, Contractor Bill checking and As-built drawings. b) Project: Easterly Bypass Pune. Client: MSRDC Ltd. Project Brief: Proposed 4-Lane, 22 Km Bypass outside Pune city connecting the National Highway No.9 and No.4. Project included Railway Overbridge, Major/Minor Bridges, Canal Crossings, and Box/Pipe Culverts. Tasks/Responsibilities handled: As Highway Design Engineer and overall team lead, carried out Detailed Engineering Design of 4-Lane Highway, Structures, and Culverts. Task also included Detailed Cost Estimates and preparation of Tender Documents. c) Project: IRDP Pune. Client: MSRDC Ltd. Project Brief: Project Consisted of Design and Project management of Urban Roads in Pune City. Roads included were Baner Road (7 Km.), Mundhwa Kharadi Road (8Km.) and Katraj Kondhwa- Handewadi Saswad Road (10 Km.). All roads were proposed to be improved to 2/4-Lane configuration with Bituminous Pavement. Scope also included Planning and Design of Panmala Flyover on Sinhagad Road Tasks/Responsibilities handled: As Design Engineer carried out Surveys, Investigations, Detailed Engineering Design and Quantity Estimates of 4-Lane Highway, Structures, and Culverts. Task also included Detailed Cost Estimates and preparation of Tender Documents. For Flyover at Panmala, responsibilities included survey, soil investigation, GAD/planning, Quantity estimate and Tender documents. d) Project: Pedestrian/Vehicular Subways for Pune Municipal Corporation Project Brief: Proposed were, • Pedestrian Subway at Mahadeo Mandir Chowk • Vehicular Subway below ROB Ramp on NH-9 at Hadapsar. • Concept for Nal Stop Subway. All the subways were proposed to be 2/3/4 armed to cater for any and everywhere movements below the Junctions. Tasks/Responsibilities assigned: As Site Engineer carried out design Co-ordination for Detailed Structural Design, Architectural planning, Interior decoration/design and intermittent site supervision for Quality of works being executed. e) Project: High Capacity Mass Transit Road in Pune.Client: Pune Municipal Corporation. Project Brief and scope: The Project included Design Feasibility for 4/6 Lane Urban Ring Road (green field alignment) meant for Mass transit, passing all around the core area of Pune city. The alignment proposed was 32 Km. Long and the estimated project cost was INR.1000 Crores (2005 estimates). The Project comprised of a dedicated access controlled corridor for vehicles/mass transit with Flyovers on all major intersections, Major River Bridges, Interchanges, elevated

Project Cost: @ INR.1000 Crores (10,000million) Role/Responsibilities: As a team lead, role included carrying out surveys, investigations, options, concept plans, Estimates, overall feasibility. f) Project: Nashik Phata Flyover. Client: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Project Brief and scope: The Nashik Phata Flyover is located at the Kasarwadi intersection where NH-50 originates from the Old Mumbai Pune Highway. The Project is a multi-storied interchange crossing various barriers i.e. Railway Line, Pawna River and the Mumbai Pune road. This is one of the prestigious projects of PCMC, funded by World Bank. Under the JNNURM scheme, PCMC sought World Bank Loan and do the procurement as per the World Bank Norms. The Project also carries a BRT corridor and caters to the complex movement of pedestrians from BRT to Railway station and from Flyover to At-grade levels. Cycle tracks also have been provided. Scope of work included Pre-Tender activities such as Surveys, investigations, GAD, Concept, Estimates, Tendering on World Bank norms including approvals from World Bank. Project Cost: @ INR.100 Crores. Position Held: Team Lead (Pre-Tender stage). Role/Responsibilities: As a team lead, role included, • Detailed Investigations, Surveys and Traffic counts. • General Arrangement Drawings. There were about 10 options explored and presented to client for review. • Preparation of cost estimates and co-ordinate for Technical Sanctions. • GAD for ROB and its approval from Railways. • Preparation of Tender Document based on FIDIC and SBD document of the World Bank. The document prepared was a combination of the SBD and the Design-Build format of World Bank. Approval of the Tender document also was included as part of the World Bank process of Procurement. • Technical sanction and Approval from JNNURM (Ministry of Urban Development) and World Bank. • Bidding/Tendering, evaluation of Bid and preparation of a detailed Bid evaluation report on World Bank norms for appointment of contractor. g) Other Design Projects where worked as a Highway Design Engineer are, • Eastern Freeway alignment finalisation for bidding purpose. • Aarey milk Colony Road, alignment and profile design (8Km, 4-Lane road in Mumbai). • Pawana Link Road alignment and profile design (proposed 16 Km green field alignment connecting Lonawala to Sahara Lake City.) • Hill Roads in Karad District near Patan town for schemes under PMGSY. Length of three roads together was 12 Km. Village road category Hill roads. • Road Network Design in Sangvi Area of PCMC includes Urban Road @ 20 Km in length with provisions for footpaths, junction improvement, and utility lines. • Design of 11 intersections in Pune City for the Area Traffic Control System Project by joint venture of C_DAC and Pune Municipal Corporation. • Detailed Design on Junction and Subway at Wakad intersection on the NH-4 Westerly Bypass. 6. Mumbai Pune Road from Dapodi to Nigdi in PCMC under JNNURM scheme. (Pre-Tender + Post Tender/site supervision) Positions Held: Highway Design Engineer (from May 2005 to July 2007). CV - Document Number Page 6 of 8 Project Brief: Project involved widening/re-construction of the old Mumbai Pune Highway passing through PCMC from Harris Bridge (Dapodi) to Nigdi Octroi post (PCMC limits). Length of the road involved 12 Km. Overall width of development included 60m with 4-Lane divided main carriages and 3 lane service road on either side. Structures on the corridor comprised of six vehicular subways, two interchanges, three grade separators, and one flyover. Features included Concrete Pavement by Overlay Method (introduced for the first time in Pune), Utility Corridors on either side, dedicated Bus Lanes (BRT lanes), Pedestrian foot overbridges, and grade separations.
