LuckyOliver is a stock photo community and marketplace that provides affordable, high-quality images for designers, businesses, and consumers. The document outlines seven business concepts for surviving in this industry: 1) embracing new technology and communicating with customers on their terms, 2) providing simple solutions so non-professionals can complete tasks themselves, 3) understanding what drives customers to purchase images beyond just price, 4) giving customers solutions to help them get work done rather than just pictures or ideas, 5) dominating open online markets as billions of users will create and assemble content, 6) reaching large, specific audiences through a longtail effect made possible by low hosting costs, and 7) using images to explain concepts and solve problems
The document summarizes the key findings from the book "Girl Wide Web: Girls, the Internet, and the Negotiation of Identity". The book examines how teenage girls use the internet to explore and develop their identities. It finds that some websites provide safe spaces for girls to discuss issues like sexuality. However, the studies mostly focused on white, middle-class girls and made assumptions without verifying the gender of online users. The book also analyzes how girls engage in online fandom and use instant messaging to experiment with different identities and socialization.
This document provides a template for a student crime presentation that requires filling in key details about the crime. The template prompts the student to provide information on the people involved in the crime, a timeline of events, the facts of the case, forensic evidence used, and the ultimate outcome. It includes text boxes with instructions to delete them once read. Students have two class periods to complete the presentation using the template to guide them in including the necessary graded content.
LuckyOliver is an online stock photo marketplace launched in 2006 that allows photographers to sell their images using a micro payments model where images start at 1 token which is equal to $1. The site saw 2000-3000 new images uploaded per day from a dedicated community of photographers. It provided a competitive advantage through its midstock model that merged microstock and macrostock, allowing photographers to price their own images higher. The platform managed photos by providing sizes, prices and easy uploading while also using technology to match images for relevant search results.
The document contrasts how users and IT see requests for changes to applications. When a user requests a simple change to add a contacts list, IT responds that a formal change request is needed that documents the impact. The user is confused by the required process and thinks IT is making things difficult. However, from IT's perspective, they can easily fulfill the request by having the user follow convoluted multi-step instructions that don't actually address the user's need in a straightforward way.

F&c snellere besluitvorming over delen financial services finalLiesbeth Bout
