Two of the most notable developments include the caravel, which aided European explorers in their

A sample realization of the codes for simulating 3D particle reinforced composite is depicted in
Figure 3. The results of these efforts have been (and will continue to be) published in peer reviewed
journals of science and presented in major engineering conferences. Moreover, methods developed

devices, and utilized them for producing micro–emulsions. Subsequently, these micro–emulsions
were used for investigating ice nucleation and crystallization in supercooled ultrapure water, for
which I used high–speed imaging technique in conjunction with a powerful optical microscope and
a cryo–stage. Figure 4 is a micrograph taken from one such video. Needless to mention, the
knowledge gained from these experiments can open new doors to understanding mechanisms of
damage in cells and tissue due to preservation at cryo–temperatures.

Summary
Pure aluminum nanocomposite reinforced with silicon carbide was produced by powder metallurgy
route. Modeling investigations and mechanical experiments were carried out on the mechanical
Behviour. of this nanocomposites .Measurements of density, tensile properties and hardness showed
that the tensile strength and the porosity of composites increased with the increasing in the amount
of the nanoparticles; however, aluminum ductility was decreased. On the other hand, the elongation
percentage keeps constant with the increasing in the percentage of the nanoparticles. Wear resistance
increased in the composite samples comparing to alloy. In the current research, a technique based on
Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Finite Element Method (FEM) was implemented to predict
mechanical properties. It was observed that prediction results in this study are consistent with the
real measurements for composites.

electronics, bio–medical and other industrial fields. Various manufacturing techniques like stir
casting, ultra–sonic assisted casting, compo–casting, powder metallurgy, liquid infiltration are used
for the production of the aluminium matrix composites. These composites reveal advanced physical
and mechanical properties like lower density, low coefficient of thermal expansion, good corrosion
resistance, high tensile strength, high stiffness, high hardness and wear resistance. Our paper
reviews the characterization of mechanical properties like tensile strength, hardness with production
route of casting for aluminium matrix– Al2O3 composites. Al2O3 agglomeration along with the
increasing volume percentage is still a challenging task in composites materials manufacturing.
0.5% by weight of pure magnesium powder is used as wetting agent. Process parameters are
optimized for the stir casting process of aluminium composite. Tensile and hardness test
microstructure study was performed to find the deviation from the aluminium alloy.

Thus, the null hypothesis was rejected. This indicated a significant difference between the
assessments of two groups of respondents on services offered by the resorts. While on tangible, the
computed value was lower than the tabular value at 0.05 level of significance. Thus, the null
hypothesis was accepted. This indicated that there was no significant difference between the
assessments of two groups of respondents on the service offered by the resorts.
Based on the findings of the present study, the following conclusions were drawn by the researchers
and were found out that majority of the employee belonged to 28 – 30 age group, male, single and
college graduates. The study revealed that majority of the respondents agreed that the service firm of
selected resorts have a high quality in the five dimensions of service quality. There is a significant
difference between the assessments of two groups of respondents in different services of selected
resorts. A course of action was prepared to improve the performance of the personnel of the resorts.
Based on the findings, the researchers recommended some actions for the improvement of the

Milling is a vital process used in the industry to make and assembling the components. The
extensive and expensive experimental work is necessary to determine the optimal of machining
process parameters for obtaining the desired machined quality. In this regard, the present work is
focused on the relationship between the input process parameters and machined surface integrity for
minimizing the machined damage. Moreover, the paper presents the comparative analysis and
performance of two different mill tools such as a specially designed carbide tipped tool and a solid
carbide tool. Subsequently, comparing the evaluation of two tools was illustrated by plotting origin
graphs. Finally, experimental results were thoroughly analyzed by SEM to investigate the cutting
characteristics of machined laminates.

INTRODUCTION 1.1 Objective of Proposed Project This project will develop models enabling the
structural design of steel beams with timber webs (SBTW). The beams analyzed will have three
configurations: an I–Beam type where the steel flange width, bf, is greater than the timber web
thickness, tw; a Box Beam configuration where the steel flange width is equal to the timber web
thickness; and an Architectural Beam style where the steel flange width is less than the timber web
thickness and the steel flanges are totally encapsulated within the timber web. The three beam styles
are shown in Figure 1. The physical properties of steel beams with timber webs structures are
expected to be highly influenced by the nature of the connection between steel and timber. However,
the knowledge of the macro–mechanical properties of glued steel–timber joints is still limited. The
work to be performed intends to increase the body of knowledge on this subject. This research study
was fomented by the desire to reduce the aspect ratio of long span glued laminated beams.
Additionally, the architectural style beam has the possibility of providing the necessary fire
protection for the steel while being an extremely aesthetic alternative for exposed structures. The
