Mining is an important activity, as it extracts the source of most objects, tools and
items that are used in many ways in society. There are drawbacks, however, as it
brings environmental and social impacts, like pollution of the waterways, change in
the landscape and the concentration of labour force. In Waihi, the mining plays an
important role in sustaining the economy of the city, but it also brings problems that
have to be managed by the Newmont Gold Company. The focus of the field trip is to
locate the potential environmental issues that may be linked to mining by using a
natural and physical resource inventory of the Waikato Regionand Bay of Plenty.
2.Resource Inventory
1.1 The Waikato Region
In the Waikato Region, it is possible to see the extensive use of its flat landscape
for farming. Most of the farming activity is composed of livestock, cows being the

It was my first day attending Texas A M University. Feling anticipation and
eagerness, I did not knowing what I should expect from college in the coming
years. My first day of college began. At the time, I was unaware that only two
thousand people in the University called themselves Cadets and that their journey is

unyielding and resolute decision to have me develop my social and academic skills

The Corps of Cadets at TAMU is famous for teaching their Cadets honor, courage,

After attending the new student conference, different cadets were assigned to

The weather in Panama City Beach, Florida, is beautiful in June. Though the
twelve hour trip down there seemed very long and boring, the trip was ultimately
worth it. There are a lot of interesting things to do in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The first thing that we did when we finally got there, was to check into the hotel
and take our stuff to the room, which was on the first floor facing the beach. It had
three rooms. One had the kitchenette, a couch, and a bed with a TV mounted on the
wall across from it. The second room had two beds and a TV mounted on the

Nothings Changed was written by Tatamkhulu Afrika, a mixed race child with fair
skin, who was later adopted by a white South African family who brought him up as
though he was white, and he only found out about his origins as a teenager.
Tatamkhulu lived in a multi cultural area called District Six, which was destroyed by
the white authorities. He feels strongly about this kind of racism towards the black
people despite the fact that he has fair skin. In the actual poem, the poet is telling the

people and the black people. This gives me the impression that both sides stick to

Two Scavengers is set at some traffic lights in downtown San
Francisco at 9am. The whole poem is based around a freeze frame in time. The
