2. The schooltrip to London is
starting on Tuesday 12th April.
The students are getting to
London one day before and are
staying in an hotel nearby.
They are starting their first visit
from the Tower of London.it’s a
very large fortress with 22
towers and many courtyards.
3. After listening to the guide and
buying some souvenirs,they are
going to the Tower Bridge, that
is not so far.
The students can have a
relaxing walk in the pedestrian
area waiting for the opening of
the brigde to let tall ships pass.
4. From Tower Bridge,there are so
many ways to reach the Globe
Theatre. People can both use the
boat that crosses the river
Thames and the bus.
The most known English bus is
the double-decker bus.
By Travelcard, people can travel
using the Tube and the bus for
two or three days.
5. The Globe Theatre is on river
Thames. It was built in 1599
during the Elizabeth I’s reign.
In that period, plays and
theatre were the most leading
entertainment for rich and
poor.
6. After having lunch with fish and
chips near the theatre, they
are waiting for the bus again to
reach the London Eye
7. The London Eye is an
observation wheel in the
Jubilee Gardens on the South
Bank of the river Thames.
People can sit in the egg-
shaped capsules which turn
slow. The turn takes about 30
minutes and people enjoy a 360
degree view over London.
9. The second day is starting at the
House of Parliament.
In the XI century, King Edward the
Confessor had moved his court here
on the river Thames.
Later,it turned into political place. It
is the seat of the two parliamentary
houses of the United Kingdom: the
House of Lords and the House of
Common.
10. The abbey is filled with tombs,
statues and monuments. Many
coffins even stand upright due to the
lack of space. In total approximately
3300 people are buried in the church
and cloisters. Some of the most
famous are Charles Darwin, Sir
Isaac Newton and David
Livingstone.
11. At the bus stop, line 24, they can
still use the Travelcard.
They are going to Buckingham
Palace, to see the Changing of
the Guards.
12. Since 1837, it has been the
administrative headquarters of the
Monarch
Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms.
These include 19 State rooms, 52
Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff
bedrooms, 92 offices and 78
bathrooms.The building is 108 metres
long and 120 metres deep and 24
metres high.
13. The Tube station is the world's first
underground railway, it was opened
in January 1863. It was successful,
so that te transport system enlarged.
It’s known as Tube by English
becouse of its shape: it is a long
tunnel.

14. Tussaud was born in 1760 in France.
Her mother worked as a housekeeper
for Dr. Philippe Curtius in
Switzerland, who was skilled in wax
modelling. Curtius taught lady
Tussaud how to model the wax.
Tussaud created her first
wax sculpture, of Voltaire, in 1777.
During the French Revolution she also
modelled many prominent victims.
e Paris of 1770. It was here that Madame Tussaud learnt to model wax likenesses under
