This document summarizes marketing efforts by Florida's First Coast of Golf to promote the region as a golf destination, particularly around The Players Championship event held in May 2013. A television, radio, and digital advertising campaign targeted drive markets in the southeastern US to generate interest in multi-night trips to the area during the tournament. Promotions were also conducted in major feeder cities like Chicago, Washington DC, and New York targeting those markets. Website development and a variety of publications and industry events were additional tactics used to promote the region's golf offerings and attract visitors.
