I analyze Anoushiravan Ghamsari in two steps: first his place in architecture and next his accomplishments in combining architecture and civil engineering. I think they are both consistent with each other, despite that I’ve always known him for his place as a architect and an outstanding teacher and has been effective in its academic performance at saint Petersburg and his unique style. Anoushirvan has his own place and his fruits of labor are many and each has an important place in our community’s architecture.

How to Create a Rock Star BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and MPDT* (Responsibility ...Fabio Roberti
A BIM Execution Plan (BEP) is a valuable and necessary part of any project in the AEC sector. It is essential when the team needs to work in a collaborative process to ensure that everyone on the project is aligned with the project objectives. A correctly implemented BEP will ensure the project goals are clear and agreed by the wide project team. Communication is a key component of all construction projects. To be successful, it requires many different people working together to achieve the client requirements. A well-built BEP requires the project team to work together and communicate from the very beginning to the completion of the project. This class will explain the importance of the BEP and demonstrate how to create an efficient BEP for post-contract-award which will include the Model Production & Delivery Table (MPDT). The post-contract-award BEP sets out how the information required in the Employer's Information Requirements will be provided.

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that allows AEC professionals to plan, design, construct, and manage buildings more efficiently. BIM gets people and information working together effectively through defined processes and technology. BIM was brought to wide attention in the UK in 2011 and adoption has increased since, though more development is still needed. BIM reduces rework, improves productivity, reduces conflicts during construction, and allows clash detection to avoid rework. BIM supports collaborative working through shared files and inter-disciplinary access to work-in-progress. Autodesk Revit is a key BIM tool that supports architectural design, MEP, and structural engineering for collaboration across the project team
This document discusses PLM (product lifecycle management) challenges and solutions in an era of increased connectivity. It outlines business challenges such as instant skills, democratizing PLM access, future IoT strategies, and collaborative security. The document also introduces new and improved role-based applications in PLM, including connected quality, requirements traceability, and performance advisor tools. Finally, it discusses the benefits of cloud deployment, subscription pricing models, and specialized application packages for different PLM roles.

Sustainability In Government - Bim Webinar4 All of Us
CROSS-WHITEHALL SUSTAINABILITY PRACTITIONERS FORUM
ADDRESSING THE BENEFITS OF BIM - SPONSORED BY FORGE TRACK LTD
We kick-started the series with a webinar for the Cross-Whitehall Sustainability Practitioners Forum. These webinars will provide the practitioners with the latest information, knowledge and policy announcements on a range of sustainability issues and was decided to launch this series by addressing BIM. BIM is a new requirement for government which Sustainability Practitioners will need to be aware of and one that will help Departments in the achievement of the mainstreaming commitments outlined below.
The Green Government Commitments require transparency and, in addition to the above requirements, must address the following areas: climate change adaptation; biodiversity and natural environment; procurement of food and catering services; sustainable construction; and staff wellbeing and quality of life. The Government Construction Strategy published May 2011, set out the framework for a range of workstreams, all of which have the ultimate aim of reducing the cost of government construction projects by 15-20 per cent by the end of the current Parliament.
The BIM task group are supporting and helping deliver the objectives of this strategy and the requirement to strengthen the public sector's capability in BIM implementation with the aim that all central government departments will be adopting, as a minimum, collaborative level 2 BIM 2016.
This webinar examined how BIM can support central government departments in their achievement of collaborative level 2 Bim by 2016 and highlight the great work already taking place within this field.
The document outlines 10 key points about building information modeling (BIM):
1. BIM is a process, not just a technology, that is applied throughout construction from design to facilities management.
2. BIM uses various technology platforms to enable aspects like architectural modeling.
3. BIM has different implementation levels from 2D CAD to full integration of data through web services.
BIM results in significant benefits like reduced costs, improved quality, and better predictability for construction projects.
This document summarizes the findings of a research project that used building information modeling (BIM) on a housing development project. Key findings included: establishing time and cost plans using the BIM model; coordinating models in a common data environment; involving suppliers early to develop BIM objects; and lessons around software compatibility, early engagement of facility managers, and contractors' limited BIM capabilities. The summary concludes that BIM has potential benefits but also presents changes that are needed for its successful adoption, like moving construction to an assembly process.

The document provides an introduction to building information modeling (BIM) for beginners. It discusses common BIM acronyms and myths, the benefits of BIM for projects and companies, different BIM tools available, and the importance of developing a BIM culture within an organization. It encourages readers to start adopting BIM now rather than waiting, and provides tips on where to learn more and take initial steps towards BIM competence.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a collaborative process that involves creating and managing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of buildings. BIM allows architects, engineers, and contractors to detect design issues earlier and collaborate more effectively throughout the entire building life cycle. Zeidler Partnership Architects uses BIM on projects to improve quality, reduce costs and risks, and enable better collaboration among project teams through integrated project delivery. BIM provides benefits at all stages including design, construction, and facilities management.

The UK Government Required a BIM Toolkit which included a digital plan of works and a single classification structure that everyone could use. Being a Government funded project, the BIM Toolkit is free to use; everybody can create an account and enjoy all the features and resources included with the Toolkit.
Structured around the dPoW, the BIM Toolkit can be used to define how the Level of Detail and Level of Information develops during the course of a project. This includes what information is required at each stage of a project, as well as who is responsible for the production and delivery of that information.
For Data, the Level of Information develops incrementally, with each stage building on the data delivered in the previous stage. The toolkit does not store a project’s or a product’s geometry or information.
As well as being based around international standards such as COBie, the information requirements also draw from the many years of experience we have at the NBS for developing the specification and performance information requirements for many types of products. The BIM toolkit includes over 5,700 definitions.
As part of the toolkit we’ve made available Manufacturer Product Data templates for the definitions. These Data Templates are delivered as simple spreadsheets that include all the data required at every stage of a project. The data templates should be viewed as a starting point that define the minimum data requirements, to which you should append any additional information that is pertinent to your product . The Data Templates can be downloaded for free, they can be completed for free and they can be made available to anybody who requests them completely for free.
In the not too distant future Architects, Engineers and contractors who are responsible for the delivery of Level of Information requirements will be asking you to supply what they need. By completing the Manufacturer Product Data templates that are freely available from the BIM Toolkit today you’ll be one step ahead and you’ll have the confidence that you’re supplying data that is compliant with the Level 2 BIM requirements.
