This document summarizes an experiment on photosynthesis using a data logger. The experiment measures the carbon dioxide concentration released from a plant both during the day with light and at night without light. With light, the plant consumes more carbon dioxide through photosynthesis than it releases through respiration, leading to a net decrease. Without light, only respiration occurs, leading to a net increase in carbon dioxide concentration. The data logger allows independent data collection over time without needing continuous connection to a computer. Repeating the experiment with the light source closer could affect the results due to changes in the photosynthesis rate.
