This document summarizes a research paper about the importance of textbooks for teachers of English as a foreign language. The researcher conducted interviews with 7 English teachers in Nepal using a questionnaire to understand their perspectives on textbooks. The analysis found that textbooks are the main teaching material used in the classroom and that teachers have similar needs and expectations regarding textbooks, seeing them as an important framework and source of ready-made lessons, texts, and tasks.
