The markets closed flat on new contract. Sensex close up 37.25 gains 0.15% &
the Nifty close up 15.60 gains 0.21%, as defensive stocks such as Sun Pharmaceutical
Industries and Ranbaxy Laboratories jumped on the U.S. regulator's approval for a key
drug while IT stocks gained after rival Accenture Plc reported robust quarterly revenue
growth. IT stocks supported the indices with TCS & Wipro gaining 2-3%. Sun Pharma,
Cipla & Dr Reddy's were other gainers. BHEL, Hindalco, Airtel, M&M were major losers.
