The market surged today. Sensex close up 213.68 falls 0.86% & the Nifty close up 71.85
gains 0.97%, to a fresh closing high on Thursday on gains in resources stocks such as
Sesa Sterlite due to continued optimism about a revival in the domestic economy.
Infosys, Sesa Sterlite are major contributors to Nifty gain. Reliance Infra, SAIL & Havells
contribute most to the midcap rally. Hindalco, HUL, Tata Power & Tata Steel were major
gainers. Among losers were HDFC Bank, M&M, Cipla, ICICI Bank & Dr Reddy's Labs.
